Status update - 2019-02-19

What I recently did:

MMM v1.1 for Alpha supporters

After I finished working on position handling (sitting, laying down, etc.), spiral switching, the updated session info screen, etc. I released v1.1 to Alpha supporters last week. So far no bugs have been reported and I'm optimistic that I can release the version to Beta supporters some time later this week.

Working on SessionMaker 1.1

I didmerge the project, but sevveral things broke and instead of fixing it I started rewriting big parts of it. Visually there isn't much difference to the SessionMaker you know, but on the inside I created my own version of MVVM (a concept for structuring code, decoupling presentation of data from logic and the data) in Unity. While rewriting it takes a lot more time than anticipated I feel the result is a lot more future-proof. Work on the SessionMaker might bleed into March, so it will release some time after v1.1 of MMM.

What I hope to accomplish next (this week):

This week is completely filled with work for v1.1. I hope to release it to alpha supporters next week!

MMM v1.1 for Beta supporters

I still have a problem with the file format modifications I have in the current version. Those modifications makesessions unreadablein v1.1 and if possible I'd like you to be able to have both the steam version (v1.0.4) and the test version of v1.1 installed without v1.1 breaking your session library in v1.0.4.
Anyway, I plan to release on Thursday. Friday if things don't work as well as I hope them to.

Working on SessionMaker 1.1

As I stated above, there's more work to do here. Several features are missing and I'm certain the new SessionMaker won't release this month. On the upside, I'll be able to give Alpha and Beta supporters something to look at and try out during March. :)

Working on the file format

I won't bore you with techy details, but the orriginal file format isn't perfect in terms of compatibility. I'm in the middle of reworking it, so that future sessions can still be loaded up in older versions of MMM. This new format will probably break someday in the future when sessions become more complex, but right now I'm good if sessions work seamlessly between v0.9.5, v1.0 and v1.1

February session file

Last but not least I'll be making this months session. It will be highest priority togetherwith releasing v1.1 to Beta supporters.

And that's it for today. As always, I'm looking forward to your comments.
