Status update - 2019-01-29

Since I haven't successfully posted the status on a weekly basis in January I made a weekly reminder for Monday morning. I hate that I keep not doing this as planned…

What I recently did:

Version for Charmed

Mephki and SleepyHead had their VR headsets with them and showed MMM to curious poeple. I made sure I updated the "Attract" version and made super-tiny improvements in that version. I'm quite blessed to have such eager supporters out their that showcase this project!

Updated public version to 0.9.5

As planned I updated 0.9.5 with some bugfixes thaat made the free public version more stable. No more broken Sessions or empty Session Libraries.

Sessions

I finally, FINALLY created a new session! It wasn't kinky though. Instead I wanted a session that would be useful at hypno conventions like Charmed, NEEHU, etc. so I made that one. I posted it together with other sessions, like the recreated "Ready for Mindless Trance" one.

Technically ready for recording

I recorded a session. And it went … OK. Yes, I need practice. But on the upside, I can confirm now that my equipment is currently good enough and I can focus on finding the right pacing, my hypno-voice and overall phrasing. Definitely counts as a win in my book.

What I hope to accomplish next (this week):

Version 1.0.4

Bugs… So many bugs! MP3s not working on the Oculus Go, Linux version broken, sessions not usable at all if they don'thave a textscript or an audio file, etc. I fixed most of these, but I am not finished with my list. I'll fix the rest of them and release 1.0.4 on the coming weekend. Originally I hope to wrap everything up yesterday but some things took longer than planned… As Iam busy with client work for the next days I will only be able to resume work on 1.0.4 on Friday…

Plan February session

Time to decide on theme and goals for the next session I'll create. I guess I'll be doing each session twice, one version with synthesized speech and one where I record it myself. We'll see how things go.

Take a week off from clients

I am way behind schedule on v1.1 and because of that I'll take a whole week off from clients and focus on MMM. Retail sales should just about cover most of the "lost" money, so I'll be fine.
