I had issues getting the photos of the skirt uploaded tonight, so I'll post more tomorrow!
I love the new fabric I picked out for her. It's got a bit of stretch, and the silver flecks add a little extra detail to an otherwise flat dress design. These pictures make it look much more navy than it is in reality - the colour is more of a cool dark grey. But I think the colour ambiguity is perfect for her.
1. All the pieces for the bodice. I was this many years old today when I learned I should be cutting the guiding triangles OUT rather than IN. You use them to match the pieces together. :)
2. Can we just admire how perfectly straight and centered I cut this piece?! I still need to drop the neckline 2-3 inches, but it's looking soooo good.
3. I had to make my own sleeve pattern using the one that cam with the dress, as her sleeves have seams up the outside with ribbon running in and out of them.
4. Pieces for one sleeve.
