Jack is so good in everything. I have seen every one of his movies.

I was thinking Sling Blade or Breakdown; he was creepy in both of those

Great reaction, Coby! There's an interview with Kevin Pollack where he said that while filming that courtroom scene, then had to do many different angles and most actors don't give the "A" performance when not on camera, but that Jack gace that same "A" performance every single time for all of the reaction shots when he wasn't being filmed. He said that was super impressive. It's such a great scene.

I was in law school when this movie came out, and everybody in class talked about it all the time--still one of the greatest courtroom dramas ever made. Jack is such a powerful actor, I have read that he actually scared the other actors on the set. :)

Wasn’t expecting this. Sweet!
6 Hours Later…
That was Great. Really Really Great. I miss films like this… Really Really Do.
Every performance Top Notch. The writing Superb. It always gets me how simple the case actually is, and you think in the beginning how can they make a 2 hr+ movie when from the first half hour, you pretty much know what happened. But then you stay on the edge of your seat through the whole thing.
Aaron Sorkin, Rob Reiner and the Cast performed, simply put… Perfectly.
Some other films that match the Quality of A Few Good Men to recommend…
The Caine Mutiny (1954)… directed by Edward Dmytryk, based on the novel by Herman Wouk, and starring Humphrey Bogart, Van Johnson and Fred MacMurray.
The Verdict (1982)… directed by Sidney Lumet, written by David Mamet and starring Paul Newman, Jack Warden and James Mason.
The Firm (1993)… a John Grisham adaptation, directed by Sydney Pollack, written by Robert Towne, and starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman.
Crimson Tide (1995)… directed by Tony Scott and starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman.
Two more films by director Rob Reiner…
Stand By Me (1986)… a Stephen King adaptation, starring River Phoenix, Kiefer Sutherland and Richard Dreyfuss.
Misery (1990)… another Stephen King adaptation, starring James Caan and Kathy Bates.
For Aaron Sorkin, all I’ve got to recommend at this time is the series… The Newsroom (2012 - 2014) starring Jeff Daniels. This is a Must See if you haven’t. This is one of Aaron Sorkin’s most Capraesque endeavors.
You noticed Noah Wyle and mentioned the series ER. I hope this means you watched ER. If not, definitely check out all 15 seasons at some point. One of the best TV shows ever.
You also noticed J.T. Walsh, but couldn’t place him. He was one of the great character actors of his generation, that died too early. He did play great bad guys. For more of Walsh, check out…
Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)
Backdraft (1991)
Needful Things (1993)… Stephen King
The Client (1994)… John Grisham
Sling Blade (1996)
Breakdown (1997)
The Negotiator (1998)
