July Comic + General Updates

Hey Everyone, hope you’re having a great start to the week. I wanted to start by updating everyone on where I’m currently at with projects, drawing and of course my own physical health. Last time I gave a life update I mentioned I was recovering from being honestly pretty debilitatingly sick, and yeah at the time I was doing progressively better. Well I’m happy to say that currently I feel as good as ever, and that it took a lot longer than I expected to fully get back here. When I was recovering I decided to ease back into regular drawing instead of putting my whole foot down on the gas and going straight back into my regular workflow, obviously this was the correct move for me as I think I’m too young to kill myself over comics for now. I’ve also been slowly going through and catching up on a lot of other comic projects online I’ve been missing out on while being sick too, still have a few more to catch up on but unfortunately there just isn’t yet enough hours in the day.

I’m sure many people who also follow me on twitter probably also noticed I’ve been more active in general recently, I also decided the other day to start up a side account for talking about movies, which has always been a very big obsession for me. This way it keeps film talk separate from well… sex comics haha. The twitter handle is @flickchickYT so feel free to check it out if you’re into that, or if you like movie talk I’m always open in DMs too (I’m obviously very lonely *cough cough*).

Now that I feel well again I am going to start doing things again like character fanart polls each month, in fact I’m currently sorting out July’s polls right now. I don’t have a real theme in mind and if there’s any characters you’d really like to see me draw eventually please don’t hesitate to let me know down below or something. I am hoping to put the first one out tomorrow but if you miss your chance lemme know anyways, I can always save those ideas for other polls down the line.

Last thing I want to mention tonight is regarding the comic I plan to draw during July. There’s a story I’ve been meaning to tell for quite awhile now that I’d like to try. I have explored some of the backstory relating to both Amy and June and what they did in college and their early 20’s.

So anyways, the one character who I’ve always wanted to write at least one story for from this time period is Jan, because he was definitely getting into all kinds of crazy stuff in college too. I’d like to start by showing you guys a little sneak peek of the design I came up for him:
