Here’s the progress update:
The rough flow of Chaos Bazel’s normal form has been completed, so I’m sharing it.
In its normal state, C-Bazel attacks in the following sequence:
Graffiti Attack (3 patterns) → Invisibility → Restraint & Spinning Attack.
When it turns invisible, no attacks will work at all, but by striking the scattered ink, your attacks will connect again.
(Note: the ink behavior is still unfinished.)
Introducing the ink-based attacks used by Bazel:
A bomb that causes a huge explosion dividing the stage. When it explodes, it also releases shockwaves to the left and right.
The damage is extremely high, so don’t approach until it’s over.
A giant missile that tracks the player at high speed. It will eventually explode either after some time has passed or upon hitting the player, scattering dynamite as it goes.
Lure it in until the last moment, then dodge it with a jump.
After landing, it keeps moving back and forth across the ground.
It can only be dodged by a jump, but it remains active for a long time, making it the hardest ink attack to deal with.
(In the video it disappears quickly, but this will be adjusted later.)
When caught by C-Bazel in normal state, it transitions into either a Lick restraint or a UB restraint.
There’s a certain chance of this happening when restrained, or it always occurs if the UB seal switch is ON.
To avoid the swallowed-and-game-over outcome feeling too plain, a stomach restraint has been added.
(Digesting motion will be updated in the next patch.)
Similarly, there’s a chance of transitioning into this restraint.
Among all in-game UB moves, this one is the most powerful. If you’re defeated during it, you’ll be dragged deeper inside and absorbed.
Completion of C-Bazel’s motions
Creation of map tiles
Completion of the remaining scenario
Creation of Bazel’s Atelier minimap
Just a small announcement: recently, the Discord sharing feature on Fanbox was rolled out to a limited number of users, and this month I finally got access to it on this account as well!
To celebrate, I’ve created a Discord server! 🎉
I’ll put together an article later explaining how to join, so please wait a little longer.
(That said, linking is already possible, so if you know how, feel free to join right away. :))
Since I don’t have much experience running a server, I’d really appreciate it if you could suggest any missing features or improvements.
That’s all for now.
Thank you for your support!
