Just something that made me happy.
Added 2023-03-01 22:44:27 +0000 UTCI remember a few years ago I checked our "exit surveys". Yeah, people actually fill those out! And there was one or two where people wrote in the comments about how we didn't make enough content. I think the one that got to me was like... "only one active story? not worth it" or something.
Anyway, since then I realized checking the exit surveys kind of hurts. And I decided not to do it anymore. I mean, why would I wanna read comments by people who are deciding not to pay me anymore?
But today I did. And for the past like... 2 years. The only comments were things like "financial difficulties, I'm so sorry!" and "love your work, I'm just busy" and "I'll be back soon!". The ONLY complaint was about using Discord to access stories, which tbh I think is totally fair. It's an inelegant system, but it greatly improves my workflow.
I dunno. I was just really happy to see so many people - even the people who aren't patrons anymore - being so sweet... it meant a lot to me. >///<
