TL:DR - Patreon has spelled out what exactly is and is not allowed regarding adult content, in clearer terms than before, with no "grey" areas. This is a good thing for most creators, but I am starting to feel like I might want to go "underground" a bit and simply start advertising my audios on Gumroad and in Twitter posts, rather than posting the specifics of each Audio Release here on Patreon. Asking for YOUR INPUT, if you don't mind commenting!
So, Patreon has revised their Community Guidelines around what exactly is permitted and not permitted on the platform. Previous policies about NSFW content were pretty vague, and left a lot of room for the Trust & Safety team to apply different interpretations, so while some creators got repeatedly harassed, others seemed to fly under the radar with no consequences. To correct this, Patreon has pretty much spelled out exactly what is and is not allowed in their No-No Categories (Incest, Non-Consent, Bestiality, Minors).

I appreciate the exacting descriptions of each category, so you know without a shadow of a doubt if you are breaking the rules. There isn't much left to be confused about, which is good.
But that this point, I'm really considering simply relying on Gumroad to distribute my audios and not posting any audio samples or descriptions here on my Patreon Feed to avoid their scrutinization. I would still operate a Patreon account, and I'd still have tiers like the New Release Club and Daddy Warbucks, where you can receive "All New Releases" delivered to your Dropbox folder. But I'm hesitant about continuing to post previews and descriptions of my audios here on the members feed.
I know that years ago there was a big Patreon exodus to SubscribeStar, and while I do have a SubscribeStar account, I've never been happy with the features or interaction levels there. I shut it down for a while, but then revamped it when I changed all my Patreon tiers in 2022. But I find that their notification systems suck, DMs to members never get read or answered, I never see messages sent to me by members, their emails don't hit my inbox half the time, and there is generally no real way to communicate with individuals via the site with any real assurance they will receive it. So I'm on the fence about continuing to use them as well. :(
I guess what I'm asking is, if I stopped posting specifically about each Audio Release here, would anyone be upset or decide to leave because of it? I'd still post to notify you that I have a new release, and if you're entitled to it as a reward it would be delivered to your dropbox. But as for announcing the Title, Cover Art and Description, as well as the audio preview, I am considering just doing that on Twitter and via Gumroad Emails from now on.
Do you understand my reasoning? Would it upset you or make you less apt to maintain your membership if it wasn't "In Your Face" on the actual feed? I feel like the answer should be no, but then again, I am not on your side of the fence. So I'm asking for your input :)
(No decision has been made, this is all hypothetical for the moment.)
