VPT 2 early test version

This first version will be available to everyone at the same time, but I intend the ones after this to be early exclusives for patrons (1 or 2 weeks).

I managed to implement a couple of things into the shader to get it closer to something that's usable (sun, metals, etc.), so I decided to release a very early version here.

Keep in mind, it's pre-alpha, many things don't work. These include but aren't limited to:

These will be ironed out in future releases, but it's still fun for now.

Currently only the following blocks are implemented:

stone, cobblestone, grass_block, dirt, sand, red_sand, netherrack, coal_ore, iron_ore, gold_ore, redstone_lamp, redstone_lamp_on, sea_lantern, glowstone, gold_block, iron_block, diamond_block, cut_copper

Stuff outside this list won't cast shadows, but will still receive them alongside mobs. Light blocks not on the list also won't work for similar reasons. The list will be expanded in the future to include most blocks of course.

Tutorial

Setting up the shader takes a couple of steps, but all should be very simple. Download the zip file attached to this post (this is VPT itself). Next grab a labpbr capable resourcepack from somewhere. I use HardTop's vanillaccurate for testing and I confirmed it to work perfectly. Lower resolution versions are free, but you have to pay for higher res ones. IMO it's totally worth it, they provide a great, non-intrusive, vanilla-like experience.

Once you have downloaded the resourcepack, navigate to the generator page and follow the steps. You have to fill out the second and third steps, the generator won't work without those. Once you finish, you'll see something like this:

You can also provide a skin texture, it will just change what's used in game for the graphical effects, nothing major, mostly just fun.

Once you have everything filled out, hit "Generate pack" and wait until the file gets downloaded. In the last step you have to put both zips in your resourcepack folder (.minecraft/resourcepacks) and load in VPT first, then the generated resource pack. It should look something like this:

Although the order shouldn't cause any major problems, some things will be overridden.  You can then load into a game. Make sure to set Graphics under Options -> Video Settings to Fabulous! And voilà, the shader should work.
