The Great Caligo - Dog Breed!

Hey guys!

Here’s something different - an official fictional dog breed for the world of No North!

While working on world building, specifically how the society’s hierarchy works, I ran into some issues.

In this dog world, society is still prejudiced much like ours. Of course riches still speak louder, but much of your social status has to do with how you look.

100% pure breed dogs hold the highest social status.
“Same type” mixes (like retriever mixes, collie mixes and etc) are not so well seen, but somewhat accepted
Different breed mixes (like a husky x doberman mix) hold a low social status
Mutts are naturally even lower
And Species mixes (like wolf dogs, coydogs and etc) normally suffer the worst prejudice.

Baltazar is a 100% pure breed, but no real breeds looked exactly like him. So I decided to come up with a noble breed for the boy!

The Great Caligos (Caligo is latin for mist, gloom) are seen as one of the most noble breeds in their world.

Even if a dog is mixed with this breed, they're already well seen socially for just carrying their blood.

They’re a rare sight, and usually mysterious and solitary.

Their main features are as described in this sheet: A dark pattern covering 50% (or more) of their faces, long fur (especially around the neck and tail), very bright eyes and a curled up tail. They’re also pretty big!

You guys are totally free create Great Caligo characters, if you like!

I’m even considering working on a few adoptables in the future.
