1. Dungeon bound soul type A animation:

This guy move very slowly, but when player is near them...

They'll try to jump toward the player and perform slash attack
and when player damage enough this guy, he will turn into this form below

then he will spin like a bayblade

beware his attack will break the slime's projectiles.
Slime might need faster projectiles shooting skill for take this guy down.
2. Deadbringer's escape animation

When player startled deadbringer, he will run away from player and crawl all over the screen. and this will cause earthquake and zombie rain.
3. Random crystals for decoration :D

4. Project progress status:

Yes, there are lot of zeros, Please allow me to explain.
The reason of slow progress is that currently "we are building the base of game"
Unlike Anthophobia, Dungeon Sanctuary is top view RPG based action game.
Anthophobia was Side-scrolling action, it was pretty simple than Dungeon Sanctuary.
DS needed better save system that saves every state of game because you have to explore around world back and forth. and need more detailed depth system than Anthophobia.
Without solving these problems, game could be look very shabby. so programmer had to focus on solve this problem no matter what.
Currently we are having many trial and errors, but this will make the base of game stable, game will become strong.
5. Quick question :
Do you like to breaking stuff?
How about almost every single objects?
Currently I have controversy with programmer for making almost anything breakable
(ex: wagons, doors, wood chest, etc...)
It'll make game run heavy. so we must avoid it.
VS
It's fun! so we must add it.
What do you think? Please share us your opinion

2020-05-10 22:48:00 +0000 UTCEverything seems good so far and I am constantly getting more interested with each update so far. Now with the question you posed....I have a bad counter question...will it just need time to make it so that the game will run smooth (via optimization) or is it a definate will slow the game down below 60FPS? Because if everything or most things are destructable and I can have 60FPS although it added on an extra year or two to the development with you guys being okay with it then I say go for it. Otherwise I would keep it to the standard stuff like chests and boxes while maybe adding in a few unquies to add into gameplay moments like all doors are woodern except for a rare few or you break a wagon in a cutscene. So that way you have the best of both while not hurting the game. If you do post a simplistic poll with the cons and pros (of how you guys as a team see them) then it should help us to vote on it to give you the opinion you wish a bit more clearly.

2020-05-10 17:37:34 +0000 UTCI hate those dungeon bounds, they're so grotesque, which is great! Personally I'm not bothered about what is breakable, but if it will affect the game performance, I'd say leave it to objects that only need it.
