Chapter 7.1 - He goes to get food with his roommate.

Tim heard a key slide into the lock of his dorm room and watched as the handle turned. In came a muscular guy he had never seen before, but he knew immediately who the guy was. Duncan, his roommate, was panting and sweating. Clearly, he had just returned from a workout.

“Hey,” was all Duncan said as he set down a gym bag in the middle of the floor.

After a moment of memory searching, Tim asked, “How was… football practice?”

“Good,” he said. “We're going to be kicking ass this year. That first game was a fluke.” Then, he brushed past, wiping a little sweat off on his shorter roommate as he went. “‘Scuse me.”

Seeing Duncan grabbing his shower supply basket, Tim asked, “You leaving after you clean up?”

“Gotta eat,” Duncan replied, as he headed for the door.

Seeing that his boorish roommate would make a good target for the app, Tim asked, “How about I join you? We don't really hang out at all.”

Duncan shrugged as he left the room. “Whatever,” he said.

Thinking about the meathead he shared a room with, Tim recalled more annoying and inconsiderate behavior from Duncan. He left his sweaty socks just lying around everywhere. He never cleaned up properly after eating. He kept their minifridge loaded with beer cans. However, more than any other action, there was his general disdain for Tim that irritated him. To Duncan, Tim was beneath his notice, a small man without much muscle, not a threat, not a person of value, just someone he shared a space with, by chance.

Tim thought it might be fun to prove to Duncan that he had power and was worth listening to for once.

What exactly would he do, though?

He might cut Duncan down to size, take away his muscles and his height, leave him a skinny little wimp. He might just make Duncan female, see how he reacted to losing his masculinity. Duncan might end up as a better girlfriend than a roommate. Who knows? Tim also considered just adjusting Duncan's mind to make him more considerate, a true friend or a compliant servant even.

There were so many possibilities to consider that Duncan had already returned from his shower, wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist, before Tim had settled on one of them. Duncan dropped his towel, not bothering to hide his nudity at all, being so proud to show off his body. Tim looked away, but he added that to his list of annoyances.

“Right,” Duncan said, as he finished getting dressed. “Let's hit the cafeteria.” He walked out of the room, expecting Tim to follow behind.

Tim did follow, but he had his phone out to snap a picture for the app when Duncan glanced over his shoulder during the walk down the hallway.

Tim smiled, ready to remake his roommate.
