Our Spring 2024 Reprint Campaign is live on Gamefound.

Button Shy Reprint Campaign - Spring 2024  is live on Gamefound. Every club member receives a discount based on their backer level - it's either $1, $2, $3 or $5, one flat amount, no matter how many wallet games you buy at Gamefound. We will be sending everyone an email at their Patreon email address shortly after the campaign launches. That email address will have a credit at Gamefound for this campaign, in the discount amount for your level. Using that email and link, you can then pledge in the campaign if you want any of the game being reprinted and you will receive your credit at the end.

The first important thing is the campaign link:

https://gamefound.com/en/projects/button-shy-games/button-shy-2024-reprint-campaign

We are starting with three games: Numbsters (plus a new expansion), Skulls of Sedlec (plus 3 new expansions) and Seasons of Rice. As the campaign goes, there will be the chance to vote for other games to reprint too.

WHAT WILL BE IN FUTURE PACKAGES?
The new expansions being released as part of the campaign will be included in future club content. The three new Skulls of Sedlec expansions - Archers, Farmers and Troubadours - will be included as part of the bonus content for three separate months; if you receive physical packages, you will also get the Skulls of Sedlec Expansion Collection III wallet to store them in. The new Numbsters expansion - Infinity - will be part of the bonus content for one month.

The reprinted wallet games will not be Featured Games in any future Board Game of the Month Club packages; you will be able to switch them in if your club level includes a wallet game, but we do not know for how long.

The first 3 Skulls of Sedlec expansions - Castle Guards, Executioners and Poets - are being collected to form Skulls of Sedlec Expansion Collection II. If you already own these, you can order an EMPTY Skulls of Sedlec Expansion Collection II wallet from our website until the end of March 2024:

HERE'S HOW TO PLEDGE AS A CLUB MEMBER AT GAMEFOUND:

Your club discount is already applied at Gamefound to the email address linked to your Patreon subscription. There is no BGotMC level, so just choose the number of games you want as your reward.

A few quick notes:

These are the three games we are starting the campaign with. The next is unlocked at $25,000 in pledges.

When hungry Numbsters form a line, arrange them well and you’ll be fine. But when they all begin to munch, avoid the Mouth or you’ll be lunch!

Numbsters is a solo game that can be played in your hand or on a table.  Each of the hungry Numbsters features a number and special ability.  Starting with a stack of 6 random Numbsters (plus the Mouth card) you’ll  need to eat, move, and manipulate your way to victory. If you can get  down to just one Numbster and the Mouth remaining in your hand, you win!

Sedlec Ossuary, 16th Century AD.  The Black Plague and Hussite Wars have overcrowded the graveyard. Help the Bone Collector, a half-blind monk, by exhuming graves and arranging the skulls inside the crypt.

You are novice monks, competing to create the best arrangement of skulls.  Dig up graves from the graveyard to reveal cards, take cards into your hand to collect skulls, and arrange the cards from your hand into a stack. Whoever better honors the deceased’s last wishes will score more points.

In Seasons of Rice, Corry Damey’s 18-card tribute to his Cambodian heritage, players are farmers puzzling together paddy cards to expand their family’s “landscape” of rice paddies and ensure the most bountiful of harvests.

Players will be drafting cards and placing them into their expanding landscape area to close off paddies in order to score the most points by the end of the game.

There are so many more details on the Gamefound page. Head over there for everything you need to know about the games and voting for more reprints.

Im'new to the club as well as Feb 2024 was my 1st package. The benefit to the club is that you will get almost all the new wallets and new expansions as they are released. There re exceptions such as "The Walking Dead" which is not coming to the club. The club lets you not have to worry about Kickstarter or Gamefound and they will let is know if any of the campaign items will be missing and how to obtain them. The BGOTMC is basically a set it and forget it for the newer wallet games and expansions.

No problem Michael, I was just curious. I just joined myself, so I can understand the confusion and the feeling of being overwhelmed. But, I look at it as a great way to ensure I get all the new wallet games being released each month plus extras, so in that respect you figured correctly! 😉 Just don't overthink it and just enjoy all the Button Shy goodness coming to you each month this year!

Tony Jones

Like I figured it's like you get a brand new game and some extras each month in the mail, but I there are tons of posts for catch up stuff and substitutions, and then there are kickstarter campaigns that you do but you get a discount or money back. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, I'm just saying I feel like it's overwhelming. Again I know I'm in the minority. And also usually other kickstarter and Game Found projects confuse me too. Perhaps I just need read more of the posts.

Michael Venini

Confusing in what way?

Tony Jones

I don’t know about everyone else I think I’m in the minority but this wallet of game of the month is very confusing.

Michael Venini

I must have not been watching the GameFound page close enough, because the campaign has already ended! Is it too late to pledge, or is there any kind of late pledge option I can get in on?

Elliot Blasich

Personally, I would pick it up now (or once the pledge manager opens). Expansions aren't something that you can swap -- think of them as a nice extra in addition to the wallet game.

SBSmith

In my experience, there's no guarantee that a specific game will be offered as an option in lieu of a featured game in any given month. It comes down to what happens to be available when a monthly package is getting prepped for shipping. That said, popular games like Tussie Mussie get reprinted more frequently, so odds are good that it will be available at some point.

SBSmith

@Julie My 1st months Membership was just taken out today, March 1st, so I'm assuming that we had to have been members by February 1st, to get a discount on the current Gamefound campaign. I could be wrong, but either way I'm more than happy and glad I finally joined the club after thinking about it for so long! 😊

Tony Jones

I'm kind of in the same boat as to joining the BGOTMC after the Gamefound went live. I'm not seeing the discount code auto applied in my cart (using same email address for both Patreon and Gamefound). But due to when I joined, I'm not sure if it's just not showing up or if I'm ineligible. I emailed ButtonShy for clarification and anxiously watching my inbox for the reply since there's only 17 hours left in the campaign. :)

Julie Kulp

Also, might the Antinomy: Solo Flare be offered in BGotMC too or, since I’m primarily a solo player, should I pick it up now to be safe?

MagPie

I see Tussie Mussie is now an add-on option on the reprint campaign. If I don’t pick it up now do I miss my chance or might it be offered in upcoming BGotMC options?

MagPie

Hey all, FWIW, I just wanted to mention that I'm extremely excited about finally taking the plunge and joining the BGOTMC! I've been thinking about it for awhile now and finally took the plunge! I pretty much play Button Shy games exclusively as a solo player. I love the small footprint and easy to learn rules! But, having said that, the games are very well designed, with tons of options and strategy! Bottom line for me, they are just packed with fun for a solo player like myself!

Tony Jones

Ok. I just joined the BGOTMC at the $18 level with the first payment coming out March 1st. My question is, on the current Gamefound campaign, I've pledged for 2 wallet games, Numbsters and Skulls Of Sedlec plus expansion collections 1, 2 and both solo expansions. I didn't add expansion 3 to Skulls or the Infinity expansion for Numbsters because from what I understand, BGOTMC members will receive expansion 3 over a 3 month period and the expansion 3 wallet and Infinity as part of the club. Is that correct!? Whew! Hope it all makes sense! I love Button Shy!!

Tony Jones

I own all the games in this reprint campaign but I’m interested in a few of the expansions (especially Numbsters!). Will all of the new expansions come to the BGOTMC or is there a way to JUST order expansions?

Liz Cohn

It was the same last year -- and caused the same confusion. I think it comes with the Gamefound system.

Sarah Schreffler

You should have received a notification that the campaign was live from Gamefound - I think a lot of Patreons received it before we posted here.

Button Shy

The expansions in the expansion collections are designed to be added to the game one at a time, so you don't need them all. Expansion Collection 3 is coming to the club over three months, it won't be a featured wallet game so can't be swapped out.

Button Shy

I didn't get a specific link. I went to the Gamefound campaign and logged into my account and it auto applied the discount in my cart. If you use a different email for Patreon versus Gamefound I think you can email button shy support and they will apply the discount for you

abumblebeee

Dumb question - did you guys receive the link he was talking about in his post?

Tobias Kaegi

If I get the EC3 but I don’t get EC1 or EC2 does that affect play with EC3

MagPie

Last question:

MagPie

Thank you!

MagPie

I forgot to fully specify. ONLY EC 3 is slated to come to the club. All the others are reprints, so they will not.

Ernest Smith

The Expansion Collection 3 is supposed to come to the club later this year. However, unless you already have a lot of games, you could get Collection 3 during the campaign, and swap it for another game when EC 3 comes. This campaign has EVERY Skulls product except for 2 single card "expansions" and the 3 Holiday Feature cards. Pledging for all 6 items in this campaign will likely be the least expensive way to get all available Skulls stuff. Note that two of the add-ons are different solo options. Monstrance just needs the base game, but Crown of Bones needs expansions. Also, Jesters and the 3 Holiday Features are in the US store right now. The only card unavailable is the Ultimate Champion, but Jason hinted that that card could get reprinted.

Ernest Smith

What should I get if I don’t have any of the Skull games? Obviously the base game. But I’m confused as to which expansions will be part of future monthly packets. Also I definitely want the Skull solo option! Should I get that now as an add-on?

MagPie

thanks, i found it. this isn't the first time i've bought the reprint but i don't remember that from the last time.

Charlotte Heilling

I had to go into my pledge, select to edit it and next to the 2 game option. Then when you scroll back up on the page and have the drop down for the original one you selected there is this weird little arrow button (branches off with two arrows pointing down) select that and it should give you the option to select the other game you want. I hope this made sense I don't think I can add pictures here to try and screenshot it

abumblebeee

Goal reached in 13 minutes! I wonder what the stretch reprints will be.

Ross

should i be able to pick two games from a drop down menu or something? at the moment it's only letting me choose 1 game as an option for the 'two games for $21'

Charlotte Heilling

Super exciting! Just trying to decide if I’m patient enough to wait for those expansions to come later or when gamefound is finished and delivered 😂
