A new podcast and PNP!

Hey everyone!

We have a good amount of new patrons here, so I wanted to welcome you all aboard. Things are moving well and they are moving QUICKLY.  As soon as we get one package out the door, it's time for the next. I can't believe it's already 9/22.

There's been a lot of behind the scenes things going on, trying to make this machine work as efficiently as possible, and I can just say I can't wait until 2017. The next 3 months will be the same old 2016 grind myself into a coma here, but in 2017 it all changes. We have a few new hands in place around here and we'lol be introducing them as we go.

The biggest change is the conversion to quarterly Kickstarters, which we've mentioned before briefly. You will still get your discounts on all of them, but your discount will be available early if you would like to use it during the Kickstarter. Ben and I got together and found 20 minutes to record a raw, unedited, not-even-any-intro-music D.I.Y. Boardgames podcast about the conversion to quarterly Kickstarters. Here it is, if you're interested. It should be on itunes feeds soon too.

In other news

We're wrapping up everything for the September packages now, which means they should be out the first week of October. I'm hoping as we get closer to 2017, we also get closer to getting these out earlier. But with everything we're setting up in the back end, it *seems* totally possible.

Ahead In The Clouds

Next month's wallet game is Ahead In the Clouds by Daniel Newman. It's a tight little 2p euro resource management game about the working class industrialists of the Empacta skies.

In Ahead in the Clouds, each player can take three actions each turn. Options are either taking/converting resources via connected buildings or Cloudbursting, which is breaking up the established network of buildings. Players can also take free actions during their turn to claim contracts to gain victory points, or connect their habitat to other buildings. Players must also be ready for the blimp from below, which comes every couple of rounds to take resources back down to the land dwellers.

Here's the PNP and the early rules if you're interested in trying it out. Note:  pages 1 and 3 are the fronts and 2 and 4 are the backs, flipped horizontally. Any questions, let me know! (Also the rules say 18 cards but the PNP is 17 as it's missing the quick reference, but you'll find it at the start of the rules)

That's all for now. Catch you again very soon, hopefully with some shipping news for the next packages!
