January Packages and more!
Added 2016-01-06 02:48:26 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Happy new year! It was a rough one here with the last week of 2015 being completely lost due to a variety of illnesses in our house, but we’re back on track and ready to start the year over... all over again. :)
Time for some updates:
THE JANUARY PACKAGES
Anyone who pledged at $5+ in December will be receiving a package in the mail this month. Everything has been ordered and should be here in NJ by the 15th. Packages will go out the following Tuesday (the post office is closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Day), and you should start seeing them within a few days. Losing that last week of December really messed up our timeline and in upcoming months you should probably see them a week or so earlier in the month.
This means we need to wait to start discussing what’s in the package as we want it to be a nice surprise. So onto the next item…
AVIGNON: A CLASH OF POPES
You should have seen an email earlier letting you know how to claim your discount on this month’s wallet game, if you were interested in it. It’s simple, each month I’ll send out a message when our Kickstarter goes live, and if you are interested in the game you will receive a pledge discount (and some of you will be getting a free game). To use your discount, just click “Back this project” but choose “No Reward”. There you will enter the total amount that was listed in the email, and we’ll square it all up at the end of the campaign. It should be fairly smooth but as this is the first month, we’re working out any kinks. If anyone has questions on this, let m know.
DIY BOARDGAMES PODCAST
We’ll be back up next week with a new interview and episode. Once again, the great illness of 2015 reared it’s head and killed my big workday. I should discuss the impact of it on the podcast, it REALLY messed up a whole bunch of things. Imagine your most important 12-16 hour workday of the year being zapped out from under you. Now multiply that by a billion because of how important that day was. Oh well, live and learn and avoid the germs.
PNPS
We should also have some more PNPs for you next week as well. The Avignon final, full color PNP (just some slight tweaks from the last one, with the bonus cards too), as well as the early PNP for next month’s wallet game, Ninja: Silent But Deadly by Ben Gerber. Hopefully some more too!

Haha, awesome. It's a great late night, or late convention game. We've had a lot of fun with it. I would think that almost all packages would arrive within the next few days. I'll put a spoiler filled post soon with heavy warnings to avoid it. We can discuss there. :)

But we sent out the first batch this week and it might just be $1 extra for international backers to get them by mail. We sent a few international ones as a test and I should know if they arrive pretty soon. As for PNPs, we have Ninja next, the Board Game Road Trip version one, Pickpockets after that, Matterkin (a PNP CCG) and some others that we're tinkering with.
