World Delivered to my Psycho ex - Chapter 5

Angie has a chat with Elena and makes her an offer.

Elena roamed aimlessly through her miniature mansion, the size of a bug, until she stumbled upon Alfred, her faithful butler, in the living room.

He greeted her with a bow. "Good day, ma'am. The laundry has been taken care of, and I have ironed your dresses. Is there anything else you require?"

"That will be all, Alfred. Thank you," Elena said curtly.

"Very well. I'll start preparing lunch now. I will let you know when it's ready." Alfred gave a small bow and walked away.

As Elena watched him saunter off, she briefly considered inviting him to join her for a cup of tea to alleviate her feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. But by the time he rounded the corner and disappeared into the kitchen, the moment had passed.

Let him, he has his own struggles. Elena thought. Her personal butler was not even a real butler. Hell, his real name wasn't even Alfred.

He had been assigned to this role - ripped away from his previous life solely because Angie wanted it.

That vile bitch! Elena scolded herself for the venomous thoughts she had about her captor.

From what Elena had seen of Angie, she had a strong suspicion that she could sense certain things that normal individuals were incapable of in other people.

Reading thoughts may not be one of her abilities, although Elena wasn't completely ruling it out.

Nonetheless, Elena was confident that Angie possessed the power to detect strong emotions like anger or hatred in others and determine their intended target.

Therefore, Elena needed to be careful with what emotions she allowed to flood her head if she hoped to have a chance of escaping from this situation.

Living in a mansion that served her every need could be nice, but Elena was still a prisoner, felt lonely, and missed her family. One moment, Elena was chatting with her sister and mother in a coffee bar, and the next, she found herself trapped in a glass prison while stripped of all her clothes and reduced to only two inches tall.

She was even smaller now.

A shrill and piercing scream tore from Elena's throat as the billboard-sized face of a comely woman appeared beyond the glass after she was torn away from her old life, freckles dancing across her cheeks. Steam spread on the glass when her lips uttered the words: "Hello, Elena."

Once the initial shock wore off, Elena couldn't help but notice a sense of innocence in Angie's eyes that contrasted with her stunningly beautiful face.

At first glance, she seemed like an unassuming girl, someone who wouldn't be suspected of any wrongdoing.

Yet, she was the worst, so she heard of Rhodes, and now this girl had all the power in the world.

Just as Elena was about to enjoy a moment of tea alone, she felt the familiar rumble, indicating that Angie was walking around the room.

Elena peered through the window and saw Angie approaching, her torso growing gradually larger the closer she got until Elena could only see the girl's abdomen peeking out from under her crop top.

Elena made her way to the balcony and greeted the billboard-sized face of her captor with a respectful bow.

"Hi," Angie said.

"Hi," Elena replied. If she hadn't known any better, she would have thought that Angie looked slightly uneasy - a demeanor that Elena had not yet witnessed from her.

Angie cleared her throat. "Say, if you like, you can join me for cookies and milk."

Elena's face twisted into a puzzled expression as she looked up at her massive captor. "Excuse me?"

"I have chocolate chip cookies. Do you like those?" Angie asked.

"I, uhm…"

"Okay, I'll cut to the chase," Angie said. "I'm feeling rather lonely and could use some company."

Elena smiled sheepishly and replied, "I would love to, but I still have a pile of laundry to tackle."

"You know I can always tell when you're lying, right?"

"I know," Elena said.

"But you do it anyway,"

"It's a force of habit, I suppose."

"I can understand that. Well, how about this: I'll make you temporarily big and let you watch the news." Angie added with a persuasive tone.

Elena narrowed her eyes, thinking. What's your game here?

"Let me spruce myself up first," Elena said.

"Take your time," Angie flashed a smile, showing off a row of intimidatingly huge white teeth that could easily cut bug-sized Elena in half.

The audacity! What is that woman thinking? Elena brushed her hair in the mirror with forceful strokes. First, she orders her ex to kill me, then she kidnaps me, and now she invites me over for a social call during milk and cookies. It's outrageous.

Elena strongly felt that this occasion was not merely meant to chase away feelings of loneliness. She could have easily invited a friend over if that was the case. Assuming Angie had friends of course. Elena would not be surprised if a woman like Angie had no friends at all. Who would want to deal with such a psycho anyway? It made her snigger.

Watch your thoughts there, Elena. Watch it.

No, Angie wanted something else from her. But what could Angie possibly want from her that she could not get by force, by using her powers? If she had to believe that wench, she was omnipotent.

It sounded tempting to get out of this hellhole of a mansion, though, even for a few minutes. And being allowed to watch the news was also a relief. Elena had access to every luxury imaginable - every movie and TV show ever made, both old and new.

She could watch it all whenever she liked. The only things she did not have was the opportunity to watch live television, and she did not have access to the internet. So Elena was out of touch with the current events in the world or if her family or the authorities were even looking for her.

If she had a slight chance of sending some sort of signal to her family to let them know that she was okay and where she was, she would take it. However, she also acknowledged that it would most likely serve no purpose.

So what if her family or the authorities knew where she was? Maybe they already knew where she was. It would be impossible for them to free her, seeming Angie's powers – unless Angie was willing to let her go. Maybe she could negotiate with Angie and strike a deal to escape this hellish situation—anything to finally be free.

"I'm glad you could make it." Angie's face lit up as she greeted Elena and motioned for her to sit on the couch next to her. She had already set out two glasses of cold milk and a plate of chocolate chip cookies on the coffee table. As they settled in, Angie turned on the television, which blared a loud commercial.

Elena observed as Angie snatched a cookie and started chomping on it, sharing her unvarnished opinion about a character in a commercial, some fat guy.

Elena's brow furrowed when she spotted a glass jar sitting on the table, identical to the one she had been trapped in. The jar lacked contents, with only a label attached that she couldn't read because the letters were too minuscule.

After all this time of living in a golden prison the size of a bug, it felt surreal for Elena to be back to her normal size.

She looked around at everyday objects like a chair, vase, and table - objects that were impossibly huge merely minutes ago - as if they were from another world.

Angie noticed Elena's unease and smiled kindly before offering her a plate of cookies. Elena took one with a smile.

As Elena watched the news, she couldn't help but feel let down that her disappearance was not being discussed. Instead, there was a buzz about some unusual natural occurrences that had scientists scratching their heads. The moon appeared to have a purple hue with an orange ring around it, and snow was now black and unexpectedly warm to the touch.

Angie playfully nudged Elena's shoulder. "I did all of that, pretty cool, right?" she beamed with pride. "And watch this!" She snapped her fingers, and suddenly, the news anchorman's full head of hair was replaced by a smooth bald scalp.

It took him a moment to realize what had happened until his interviewee pointed it out. Panic flashed across his face. Angie couldn't stop laughing. "This never gets old!" she exclaimed, clutching her stomach in laughter.

Elena forced a laugh to avoid getting on Angie's bad side while she was actually scared.

It was unsettling to see a fully grown woman wielding such immense powers with the immature mindset of a child at the expense of others' well-being.

Why can the universe, or the one controlling the universe, be so narrow-minded as to bless such a person like Angie with the powers of a God? She's using us all like playthings!

Angie's expression shifted back to seriousness. "You want to walk out of here, Elena?"

"I…" Elena hesitated, eyeing Angie with suspicion.

"Hey, relax. I'm not playing games here," Angie reassured her. "I mean it. You want to go or not?"

"Y-yes, of course," Elena said.

"Then go." Angie gestured towards the front door. "I'm serious. I'm not stopping you."

Elena sat there, taken aback and unsure how to respond to this sudden offer from Angie. She was caught off guard by the unexpected suggestion.

She was just about to rise from her seat but hesitated. It couldn't be this simple, could it? "Is there a catch?" she inquired cautiously.

"Obviously," Angie replied with a mouthful of chocolate chip cookie. "Here, I'll show you." She snapped her fingers, and the TV screen flickered before displaying a snowy image, eventually revealing a cityscape.

Elena recognized the city immediately. "New Lakeside," she said.

Angie's head bobbed in agreement, her eyes fixated on the breathtaking aerial view of the grand city, showing its richness of skyscrapers, gleaming office towers, and unending web of roads.

"That's where my dad and brothers live," Elena said.

"I know," Angie picked up her glass of milk and downed it in one go.

"What about it?" Elena asked while dreading the answer.

Angie gazed at Elena with a determined expression. "I want it."

Elena's heart raced as she tried to process Angie's words. "W-what do you mean? Do you want to explore New Lakeside? It's a beautiful city, I can assure you that. You should definitely check out–"

"Who said anything about exploring?" Angie interrupted Elena. "I want it. All of it. I want all of them. I want to possess the entire city for myself and stuff them in there." Angie's gaze shifted towards the glass jar sitting on the table.

Elena gasped, envisioning chaos and mayhem as millions of people and acres of infrastructure were shrunk down and contained in a glass jar, all under the ownership and for the entertainment of one woman.

"You wouldn't dare," Elena said.

Angie laughed. "Oh, but I would. Just watch me. My mind is already made up. But you have the power to stop it all, Elena. You can prevent millions of people, including your loved ones who are completely unaware of the danger looming over them, from becoming toys on my shelves."

"How?" Elena asked, determined to do anything within her power to prevent such a horrible fate for her family.

A mischievous glint appeared in Angie's eyes. "Seduce Rhodes and make him sleep with you."
