Ages Behaviour Tweak

This mod requires LOT51 Core Library

UPDATES: Life&Death Patch (1.110.265.1030)

Mod that slightly alters Sims behaviour to make them more realistic depending on age

When you exclude toddlers and infants, Sims all behave mostly the same. Young children play and clean up at the same rate as adults.

This mod attempts to fix this issue by making young Sims focus more on some things and less on others; the same is true for the other ages. This is a soft mod, made with buffs and very vanilla settings; it's not aggressive.

Main File

This is always required. It does nothing without the modules below!

Behaviour

This is the module that affects autonomy:

Reduces some obsessive behaviour on an age basis. Stuff like the use of a computer, phone, chess, workout, dancing, playing videogames, trolling the forum, mischief, gardening, and singing are tweaked to be globally less likely to happen but also less likely to happen for different ages.

For example, while the autonomy for mischief interactions, phone, computer, and dancing is kept fairly high for teens and children, as the sim grows older, the autonomy will be reduced, but at the same time, the autonomy for other things will be increased. Some autonomy is completely blocked for some ages, like when children shouldn't spend their time watching paintings.

This module also alters how strongly different ages are affected by different moods. In maxis, only teens have increased strength in all emotions. That's kept as it is, but I added the same for other ages:

Children will be relatively happier, more playful, more inspired, more energised, but also more bored.

Teens are left at Maxis.

Young adults will feel the anger, confidence, embarrassment, flirtiness, and sadness more than other ages.

Adults have increased strength for uncomfortable and stressed moods.

Elders have increased strength for uncomfortable, bored, and sad moods.

This adds no moods; it just means that when in that specific mood, there will be a bonus.

Cleaning

This aims to reduce the autonomous cleaning sims are obsessed with. It doesn't affect slobs or neat sims.

This too is tuned on an age basis, so children should not autonomously decide to clean; adults will be more likely to do it. Autonomy is not blocked for teens, but they shouldn't be very likely to do it. Autonomy is globally reduced anyway.

Romance

This globally reduces the autonomy for romantic interactions on an age basis. Teens will be more likely to flirt and mess around autonomously, but autonomy decreases slightly as the sim grows older. Doesn't affect romantic sims.

Fitness

Adds decay rate to fat commodity.

Sims will gain and lose fat and muscles at a different rate depending on age.

Arguments

This requires Parenthood and adds more variety to the arguments:

Click on "Main File" and on the name of the modules you want to install. This doesn't conflict with anything.

Jordan

where's the download button? also, does it conflict with the Balanced Life mod

yasuke akira

It shouldn't since it works with custom buffs, I need to change the injector tho so I will update it.

Jordan

Does this need an update?

Tested and it's not that one, my sims can grab quick meals just fine

Absolutley love this mod! Makes Gameplay a little better :) But it seems like the Behaviour package is outdated. For some reason my sims couldn't fetch quick meals. I tested which mod was responsible for this bug and it was the Behaviour one. The other add-ons seem still to work just fine though!

Artsyflashback

this has nothing to do with this mod, this one only removes certain autonomous actions. I notice sims starring more than before, too.... I don't know if the interaction is added into the buffs I used in here, though.

Zero_

How often are sims supposed to look at things compared to before. My sims child keeps staring at pictures a lot the adults I haven't had that issue. Also, do you know if this mod is incompatible with any other offhand? It's actually the family portrait that he keeps staring at.

I feel like the more specific the responses the better to have depth and kind of unexpected outcome, so it feels like really finding out things you don't know, do you think it's possible to execute it with the common and major buffs only things like embarrassed, starving, grungy etc.or maybe a combination of both?

Iten

can be based on two things, mood and buffs category and the first one would be better. Can't be based on buffs for two reasons: there are too many, and would be a mess to keep up with the new packs.. but the answer can totally be based on the mood of the target.

Zero_

anyway i had an idea and was hoping if it would be possible to implement in a new mod, it consists of having an interaction like get to know or as if single but it's about asking about how life is going for example and the response would be in the shape of stating any active buff the target sim has in a notification as the answer, I think it will add depth to the social interaction and let the player know more about what other sims are going through, hope you try it if you like it enough and think its possible to implement, much love :)

Again zero you proof your one of the best modders in the community with the new mods you're getting out , I check your page almost every day and you really don't disappoint me,

Iten

Thanks!!

this one may help but doesn't stop it completely https://www.patreon.com/posts/social-autonomy-30551261

Lovely!! The problem I have is that after every mean interaction sims automatically do something or say something nice. Even one time I argued at the landlord and he went in my apartment and im like omg what is he gonna do 😱😱 Boom! He started washing dishes 😳 So I was wondering if you had a mod to stop nice interactions directly after mean ones?

Angel

This looks AWESOME!!! É's aunt and uncle argue ALL THE TIME too. It's nice to have more stuff to argue about.
