Changes to Subscription Model & Tier Pricing Updates

tl;dr - Subscriptions now renew one month after your subscription date instead of always on the 1st. Supporter and Early Access tiers have increased in monthly price. Yearly subscription prices remain the same, while the Master Yearly tier is now cheaper.

Hello everyone,

I’ve held off on adjusting prices, even as the amount of content has doubled since the last update, but recent trade tensions and tight margins mean I need to act now to avoid being locked into loss-making yearly subscriptions. Loyal fans and long-term subscribers won’t be affected, as the changes don’t apply to yearly plans.

Subscription Model Changes

• Subscriptions now last a full month from the date you subscribe, rather than always renewing on the 1st. Because of how things work behind the scenes, this could double operating costs in some cases which is reflected in part of the price change.

Pricing Changes

• Yearly Subscriptions: No price change. The yearly discount has been increased to offset the new monthly prices.

• Master Tier (Yearly): Now 10% cheaper than before.

• Supporter & Early Access (Monthly): Each has increased by $2.50 per month.

• Master Tier (Monthly): No change.

When Will This Take Effect?

• Immediately for new subscribers.

• In 30 days for current subscribers (your next charge will still be at the old price if you stay subscribed).

If you're a long-time subscriber but not on an annual plan, it's recommended to switch to the annual plan to lock in the current price.

The changes also make it possible to subscribe using the Patreon APP, please keep in mind that if you do subscribe using the iOS app the price will be increased by 30% which will go directly to Apple. I recommend using a browser \ android.
