See….this is one of those anime that I got thru like 4 or 5 episodes and dropped it enthusiastically. The art style is damn cool, but the comedy and ecchi is of no use to me. I already disdain comedy shows mostly, but I’m down if the humour is relevant, clever, or unique. Kill la Kill just ain’t it for me. Also, I started it probably right after Akame ga Kill, and I love that series, so the dichotomy probably wasn’t a fair gauge. I hope you love it, Mat.

2025-09-10 06:51:25 +0000 UTCThe anime that Kill La Kill most reminds me of in style is 2004's Re: Cutey Honey (3 episode series, well worth watching). Perhaps unsurprisingly: Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) was the chief director and Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill) was the initial episode director.
