The “Mami Copium” is always real. Tbh, realizing the her Souls Gem was where the huge feather came off her head is damn near impossible. Your idea about an abandoned Soul Gem is pretty horrifying. I’ve seen it discussed a little, but not to any substantial degree. From what Homura says to Kyouko about Sayaka’s body makes me think the body would just be “dead” with no Soul Gem in range. I suppose that the body would just heal up and reform if it was decomposed. Idk, awfully grim concept.

2025-07-23 10:16:19 +0000 UTCI do hope that you eventually learned about how IRL Walpurgisnacht was both a Xtian holiday for Saint Walpurgis(which I think was made up for the sake of religious hostile takeover purposes) and it was the concept of the one night a year that witches would gather together to share information, test powers, and redevote themselves to the Devil with a kiss to his ass/pecker(this was what European pagan folk were imagined doing by the "faithful"). Modern Walpurgis is the contemporary holy day for modern Pagans/witchy folk to celebrate the fertility of the seasons, as a reclaiming of the term from old-timey fears and oppression that ravaged some communities in Europe and early game US.

We do have to remember that sayaka didn't see Mami tie up homura so it does make sense that she thinks homura is selfish. Sayaka I believe is trying to be like Mami (a champion of justice) and now we see that kyouko is very selfish. Such great foils. As for the moms advice... Yea pretty sure she was thinking it was some middle school drama madoka was dealing with. As for Mami's death... If you look at her transformation her soul gem was turned into a hair clip sooo the chop took that away.
