I realize that i rarely actually put these up, because whenever i actually create them they feel very much like a necessity to make the scene work, rather than something cool that is getting done.
But i suppose they might be cool!
Since we introduced the panoramic backgrounds we've added a few more. Here they are as they appear in game. We even ended up having one animated one, for the scene under the row boat, since the rain animation we do already have in the game of course would look weird if they just cover the whole screen.
Problem in this case was is that these background are already pretty resource intensive in Renpy, so 2 frames and it being a pretty small field of view is what kept it manageable.
Also, thankfully Twinmotion, which is what i'm using for them, added the function to take 360 panorama shots into their free version. So now I don't have to stitch them together manually anymore.
I chucked a couple of the original panoramas in there, where i still had them.
