I noticed his sash, but missed her hair ribbon. You're right, it's a beautifully composed portrait (of an impossible dream).

I've been wondering that about Kelu and Song's descendants as well. Does it have anything to do with the dragon saying his magic works differently on men, women, and boys? There's a lot of sons in the royal family, but no daughters I've seen. There's no mention at all of their mom, is she still alive? The youngest brothers are not very old, maybe around 10 years old or younger? If that royal family has ruled that area for several generations and typically produces as many children as the current family, I would think there's a lot of descendants (maybe official and unofficial) who will have the ability to hear what is meant (or is it what is understood and is that a way of detecting dishonesty?).

I love the lore, but can we all take a moment to admire the sheer fabric on Razendi's arm?! And the fact that her hair ribbon matches his hair?! I know that it's his fantasy image, but it's a beautifully composed portrait, with good use of resources and techniques.

It breaks my heart that he had such an attainable dream, but incompetent older siblings ruined it.

Interesting! Have there been princesses in the past or does Kelu and Song’s bloodline only produce boys? Is the purpose of dropping the title also to disincentivize them from going to war with the chosen heir for the throne? Could Jintu hire Kentu as his advisor or would that be considered some sort of conflict of interest? Anyway, poor Jintu, especially knowing Razendi doesn’t want him. He looks very dashing in his purple sash but it’s not meant to be.
