basically Blue Beetle started in the 40s he was one of the first in DC starting with Dan Garrett a Archaeologist who discovered the Scarab on a dig and it attached itself to him and he becomes Blue Beetle then in the 70s there's Ted Kord who was granted the torch of being Blue Beetle after Dans death but it didn't work for Ted so he become a vigilante like Batman using his tech and money to be a hero then Ted Died in an explosion which also resulted in the Scarab which was there connecting to Jamie Reyes who was also there and giving him his powers making him the third Blue Beetle

Idk about Blue Beetle being up there though, I liked the whole backstory and the first half hour of the movie but the rest of the movie it felt like there were a lot of moments that were very convenient just to get the plot going, and not very thought out.

2024-11-29 15:47:53 +0000 UTCThe sad thing about this film is that it premiered during the strikes. The director was allowed to promote the movie, but I wish I could say the actors did too. They deserved better. On the bright side, as you already know James Gunn is at the helm of DC. He said thereโs a strong chance he can incorporate the events of this movie into the universe that heโs building which of course includes Peacemaker. That reminds me: season 2 will premiere in August of next year. Until then, we have a new animated series called Creature Commandos premiering on HBO Max in two weeks. Itโll serve as a bridge between both seasons of Peacemaker.
