Venom 39 forshadow cover

This is how I did the first cover featuring my new Venom for the upcoming series ALL-NEW VENOM! (did I write Venom too many times? venom venom venom)
-I started with the classic 4 layouts for the editors to choose from.
They chose D, which is interesting because of its format. Having his arms out to the sides forces the character to be smaller in the vertical frame. But the pose is cool and it makes for a "coming right to you" approaching situation, if that makes any sense.
-I sketched the final pose again away from home, so I did it on pencil, then back home scanned it and started worked on the big old Wacom and Clip Studio Paint.
I was going to do the buildings myself but I found so many cool images and was pretty busy so I decided to use a pictures instead of wasting time drawing windows. I was going to draw them either way when doing the final "inks".
-Once the final sketch was done and approved by the editor I printed and went to the lightable and did the final "inks" ( I used a mechpencil 0,5 with 2H leads, not real inks) on traditional paper.
-Scanned the thing, up the black levels, lowered the greys to give that black and white feel on Photoshop. I also erased all the dirt from the lead, using a ruler and drawing buildings gets pretty messy, so I have to be very careful not to make a mess.
