7th Heaven Dev update #19

Hello all!  

This week was a productive week! I've completed a bunch of obligations that have been taking time away from gamedev.  So now I have more time to dedicate to the game!

Things accomplished this week   

• completed all patreon commissions
• drew several new character sprites for the next chapter
• wrote another pass on dialogue and text

Things to accomplish this week  

• finish off character sprites needed for demo.
• start work on BG's
• start implementing new text and dialogue into the Game engine.

NEW CHARACTERS!

So this next update contains a lot of new characters. Some of whom you'll visit multiple times throughout the game.

The Tailor's Daughter

Some of you may remember her from the infamous dress quest in the original FF7. Well she's back and in charge of the Boutique! There's a small section taking place there this update.

Kotch

One of Don Corneo's Lackeys. You'll encounter him guarding the Entrance to the Don's Palace. Tough and Mean with a secret to hide.

Honey Bee Inn Girl

That's right this update you'll making your way into the Honey Bee Inn to see what all the fuss is about! You'll be greeted by some of the most BEE-autiful girls in all of Midgar!

Don Corneo's Secretary

For some reason she doesn't wear clothes, but always has a pen ready to take down notes. I wonder where she keeps it?

NEW BACKGROUNDS

This week I'll be taking some time to focus on the new locations needed for the next update. I've already mentioned that you'll be seeing Don Corneo's Palace, The Honey Bee Inn and The Boutique. If time permits there may be more.

Picking up the pace again.

Now that most of my non game obligations (Outside of full time work) are complete, I'm going to be focusing all my attention on the game. I have no set date for release at the moment. A lot of new art needs to be made. A lot of writing needs to go through second drafts and proofread. I think next time I will forgo taking commission work between updates and will focus on the game entirely. with the minor piece of fanart her or there.
