Boyz gotta do DEATH SPA! I’m sure I’m the millionth person to suggest this.

Dank Stephan

You’re thinking too logically

Julian Neuweiler

Hell yeah

Will See

We said no one cares about the truth, not conspiracies!

Gabrus, Rodgers, and Stanger

I'm kind of the Scooter of this comment section

Christopher Schuber

Right at the very end when Rodgers was discussing the lack of alien conspiracies, and what not these days. Which I agree. You don’t hear much about blood sucking creatures these days. But then the hurricanes controlled by the democrats appeared last week, and that slightly opened up that can of worms again.

Don Knott Steiner

when did we say that?

Gabrus, Rodgers, and Stanger

Chris Carter’s brother, Craig Carter, is a well known professor at MIT. Chris has said in many interviews how Craig is an inspiration to him and was his source of fascination with Sci-Fi. Craig was also my wife’s advisor in undergrad, so she knows him and his work really well. I was watching episode 1.7, where the high tech building turns evil, and my wife made me pause so she could look read a monitor in a quick closeup shot. It was a list of the elemental compositions of various titanium alloys, which is something that Craig worked on in the early 90s. We’re pretty sure Chris called up his brother and asked for some science shit he could put on a screen, and Craig faxed over whatever he was working on at the time.

In Florida, it was called X or 'beans' or 'rolls' Oh the triple stack AOLs. We used to called it rolling. Take some with schrooms and you're trolling. It was always MDMA. It's the main ingredient. It's derived from the sassafras root.

Chabnormal

Nobody asked me, but that’s never stopped me from posting before. I think the desk is better than the couches (it’s a great desk)

Joe B

100% I keep thinking it’s milk 🥛

It's Mr. Olympia weekend! Who do all the janitor's got to win? My money's on a Hadi redemption win.. I'm guessing Gabrus is going with Samson, the biggest black guy. Rodgers is probably betting on Derek to repeat. And we know Stanger's stance "nobody's beating Arnold". I don't have the heart to tell him.. Ps I would pay $50 to hear an episode of the Boyz going to an Olympia weekend and reporting back 💪💪💪

The Buffmaster

You guys spoke too soon about nobody caring for conspiracies anymore. The ability to control hurricanes like RC cars really hit big in the conspiracy community recently.

Don Knott Steiner

First he needs to learn to love himself.

Adam Lewis

Do we think Ratboy will ever find love?

JHolmes

It was when I first started the video in Firefox (1982), but the audio was synced after I refreshed the page and restarted the video.

Stanger with the mustache looks like John Astin from the old Addams Family tv show

Baked Tater

Louisville, KY has the Pope Lick Monster, a half man half goat who attacks kids who hang out on the train trellis (think Stand By Me trellis) and hold onto them until a train comes… *also, Kentucky has a Big Bone Lick

Paul Perez

I’m in south GA, so our media market is mostly centered around north FL, and the ratio is the inverse down here. We also get plenty of political ads for FL elections and it is wild down there

That's the one. It was a bible when I was 10.

Sorry to double post, but I just got to the end. The Jersey Devil was the 13th child of a woman named Leeds. Leeds Point is a small town in the Pine Barrens named after the family. The story goes that in 1735, Mother Leeds was sick of having kids and said that she cursed this one," Let it be a devil!" The baby was born normal, then transformed into a beast with giant bat wings, a long forked tail, the body of a goat with sharp hooves, the head of a horse, and the face of a dog. It then took off to disturb the maybe 157 people living there until a clergyman exorcised it away from Leeds Point and into the Pine Barrens. When I was in the fourth grade, I came up with a plan to catch it.

John Hedgepeth

I think I know the book. Softcover but wider/taller than your typical novel. And red background black silhouette illustration of the devil on the cover. Musta checked that out 200 times from the library!

David McElroy

Depends on the episode, but I think Darren McGavin is so good as Kolchak you can deal with it until things pick up. If you just want to watch one episode, I'd recommend The Werewolf. I think that is one of the many David Chase written episodes.

Jack McReynolds

Is it the enjoyable kind of slow pacing, like Columbo? Or is it the boring kind of slow pacing, like Mrs. Columbo?

Joe Gunch

I'm originally from Jersey, and the Jersey Devil was an obsession. There was a book I read a bunch of times about the legend, sightings, and con men. I'm visiting home in two months and my folks live in South Jersey between the shore and the Pine Barrens where the JD lives. I can probably find a Jersey Devil cap to send to Gabrus. All the gift shops have JD merch.

John Hedgepeth

As Ben acknowledge the fun part about X-Files is how they would always have stories take place in cities across America. I'm from Minnesota and I remember one episode had a lower third title that said something like "Minneapolis - Red Light District" that got a lot of laughs from me.

Scott Tammel

I started watching Kolchak last month and it is very fun. Rodgers is correct about the slow pacing, though. Very excited to switch to X Files for a bit after this Zombie Squad.

Jack McReynolds

ChatGPT for the win: "The X-Files originally aired on Friday nights during its first season (1993–1994) on Fox. Due to its growing popularity, the show was moved to Sunday nights starting from its second season (1994) and continued to air on Sundays for most of its run. It later shifted to different days, including Mondays, during its revival seasons (2016 and 2018)."

Brash Tracks

It probably switched nights over the years but at some point it was definitely Sundays. The kids on my block used to get together the night before school to play capture the flag and then meet at someone’s house to watch the latest episode.

Matt Toots

Apologies if some other neckbeard already said this, but I remember x-files being on Sunday nights at 9pm. Sunday night football used to always run over and the show wouldn't start until like 9:20 or later sometimes. Maybe Stang was watching football instead?

Brash Tracks

It’s torture. All of it.

jnortie

I too get the mailers. They have her dressed as Hitler in most.

jnortie

I love these videos thank you guys for all the work you do

Cody Kolodziejski

Thanks for the Ohio shout out.

FiddlersGreenDay

Definitely check you out, thanks brother.

FiddlersGreenDay

I'm in middle GA and get about 70% Harris ads 30% Trump, I'm just sick of seeing his ugly mug either way

bloodflart

I’m in Pennsylvania. It’s brutal. Sports are the only things I watch live and it’s every commercial. And for a solid 2 week, I got sent the same pro Trump flyer in the mail every day.

Swimfan69

Holy shit I wanted more Teenage Mutant Doctor Turtle. “I was lookin at your chart…WHOOOOA!”

Paul Perez

Love a Frieren shout out.

slumbermartymassacre

If any fellow zombies are into bigfoot, I interview people who claim to have seen them on my podcast Matchbook Flashback. I went from not believing to believing

Alec Ogg

Is the audio sync off for anybody else? I've got like a half-second delay.

Korben's Mom

I’m in Georgia. Nonstop Ads for both.

jnortie

Does Stanger look more like Robert Goulet or John Astin with that porn-stache?

meatlazer1

Man, I've always been the exact opposite on which episodes to watch: I don't give a rat's ass about the drawn-out alien conspiracy, I want those Monster-Of-the-Week eps! How you gonna skip the classic "Squeeze" and "Tooms" 2-episode extravaganza? Madness.

Tim from New Hampshire

Wow, love it!

David McElroy

When are we getting Apeuary?

Julian Neuweiler

Without listening yet - the drawing reveal is like a Naked Gun bit. I want to believe it wasn’t intentional.

David McElroy

I thought Stanger had a full glass of milk in the thumbnail

David Powell

Great write-up about the X-Files video game: https://www.filfre.net/2024/10/the-truth-is-out-there-part-3-the-game-of-belief/
