2024-09-16 00:13:05 +0000 UTCI met Dirk Benedict once at a comic convention. The following day the con had this event for kids where they would make super hero costumes and then there was a parade through the con floor. I took my stepson who was 8 at the time and he made his costume and the kids all parades with the parents through the floor and we went through the celebrity area, and it was great. As we passed Dirk he said “can I join your parade?” And my boy said “no, it’s just for heroes”. As we moved away Dirk raised his hand like he was in Hamlet and said “I was a hero once! And I could be, again, if you give me a chance!”
