A little update.

Howdy everybody,

Aaron here. I wanted to give you a quick update on what Adam and I have been doing, and where we're heading with Null+Void.

First, I wanted to just say thank you for sticking around. You all have been  incredible and warm and we're glad you've liked some of the stuff we've  done. We said in the beginning we wanted our creative work and company  to have purpose, and we think we know what that looks like.

The last couple of months, Adam and I have been approaching environmentally  focused startups that develop products meant to impact the planet and society for good. For example, one makes concrete for city streets/driveways/etc. that filters rain water into drinkable water, and another is a snake robot that puts out forest fires.

We've offered our video abilities to make weird / funny / informative pieces for them that gets their product out there, because nobody knows the insane stuff they're developing right now, and they don't have the resources or money to create advertising, patreon, or investment videos yet.

We're doing all of this right now at our own cost. We want to create a production company that is the go-to for world changing ideas and products. Adam and I spent a long time making this kind of content for video games and Pizza Hut and ball trimmers — it's time to do it for companies that matter.

I mean, people do need ball and bush trimmers, and we're not knocking people who make ads for that, but you won't need to shave your pubes if you don't have clean water to drink and your house is on fire. Besides, nobody is making content for these unknown, up-and-coming, revolutionary companies.

What will the content be? It will be strange ads, odd vignettes, shorts, and other things. Some of it will be ideas that the companies didn't approve and we decided to make anyway. It should be fun.

All this said, we're able to go down this path because of all of you. And we can't wait to share what we're making.

So a close friend of ours who will remain nameless (Jackson), messaged us and said the above correspondence. 

For safety reasons I won't go into details but he (or she) mentioned that we should make the podcast public on YouTube to drive more patrons. 

We wanted to throw this out to our hardcore supporters: the original backers who will eventually be put on trial for war crimes of some sort (don't ask, just go with it sshhhh, sleeeeep)

To be clear: this is not a money making venture. We both have full time jobs that support us and our pets (also loved ones). Whatever funds we get from this are going into our production and back into charity. 

The dreams is yes, N+V can one day become a full time gig, the one and only thing we do. Is that time now? Probably not. Right now we're working on scripts, books, videogames and anything that can use a voice that isn't bastardized by remakes or rehashes. but in our free time. 

We want to grow this thing, but we want to keep it sustainable. The dream is to make stuff we love, stories we want to share without anyone ever telling us what to say.  

So with that, tell us what to do. Because we just make the content. Everything else is up to you.

Null⁺Void Podcast [NVP] (Ep 4) - Purpose

Plato once defined purpose as "a used banana with no beginning or end." Scholars later attributed this quote to a man I heard outside my car window chucking dead flowers at a nearby mini van. 

Today, we thought we would get to the root of our purpose. Turns out it's trying to help old people without taking advantage of them. We discover it's much harder than it looks. 

And hey, good news (maybe?) This completes the first "season" of the N⁺V Podcast. We'll be uploading these to big audio platforms in the next day or so. Thank you for getting this project off the ground and supporting the early release. We've both been plenty busy with our day jobs, future projects and making our personal connections priority. It means a lot that people are sticking with this lumbering endeavor of ours. 

Ep 5 is already cut and we're aiming to get it up sooner than later as well a few more chapters of the ROOK audiobook.
