Brixel 1.3: Nether Update

Dear Patrons!

Here comes the long awaited Nether Update for Brixel! And it works with Minecraft 1.17.1!

You can download your version of the pack from the posts tagged as "Download - latest". Please make sure that you follow the installation instructions, so that the pack can work properly.

We have updated Brixel to work with Minecraft 1.17.1. A new stable version of Optifine has been released (OptiFine HD U G9) and it's recommended to use Brixel with this version, if you want to play Minecraft 1.17.1.

There is also a new version of BSL shaders available (v8.1 preview 1) - it features various improvements, so go get if BSL is your favourite!

But going back to the update itself. 1.3 is our biggest update so far and focuses almost entirely on Nether. We've added around 105 new assets to the resource pack, everything in Brixel-style!

Here is a short summary:

After entering the Nether Portal, adventurers will discover their well-known, yet different fiery Nether domain. The vanilla blocks won't be there anymore, as the've been exchanged with their Brixel counterparts! 

Delving throughout the Nether, you will encounter freshly textured common blocks like Netherrack or Nether Crystal, as well as some rare findings like Gilded Blackstone or Nether Gold Ore.  

You will also find yourself in the Crimson and Warped biomes where the custom modelled, bricky Roots, Fungi and Hyphae grow. Use them to craft new stuff that has been textured as well.

You will also be able to craft the new Netherite tools!

As the theme of the update is pretty hot, we're also bringing the new animated Brixel Fire and Soul Fire! We are really happy with the result, let us know if you like it too!

We've also been asked to alter some of the previuosly textured blocks. Coal Ore and Iron Ore have been reworked, so that they're easier to distinguish now.
