The double stroller was absolutely ridiculous. That’s what Mia thought, anyway, as she slumped in the front seat—leg stumps barely sticking out, cheeks burning red. Behind her sat her mother, Lucile, cheerful as ever, nodding regally to confused passersby as if being chauffeured by her daughter was the most natural thing in the world.
“Faster, Chloe!” Mom called, settling into her seat as if it was a royal throne.
“Mom, please,” Mia groaned. “People are staring...”
“Of course they’re staring,” Mom replied. “We’re magnificent!”
Chloe, the designated pusher, huffed and grinned. The stroller squeaked dramatically as it rolled down the path, its wheels wobbling with every bump. She felt like a parade float driver in charge of the most mismatched royalty imaginable—one queen and one mortified princess.
A little boy pointed and asked, “Why are the grown-ups in the baby stroller?”
Without missing a beat, the mature woman in her royal stroller called back, “Because walking is overrated!”
Mia would have buried her face in her hands, if she had any. “I can’t believe I’m part of this family.”
“Oh, hush,” Lucile said. “You make a fabulous co-star.”

I had a lot of fun doing this one, it has everything i like: limblessness, slice of life and goofiness ^^
Chloe laughed, picking up speed just to hear her mother’s delighted whoop. And though Mia grumbled the whole way home, a small smile betrayed her.
