Uhhhh... well basically Amber saw Neri came from a different monster that wasn't the meatipede when she first popped into the house and turns out maybe that one wasn't super great. Annnnd maybe that's why Raziel's been more of a turd, as that's the first thing he found when arriving at Katherine and Amber's house the first time.
When Neri starts being aware/ conscious of the world, they were already the kinda whitish demon that started bleeding the red coloration. (for reference) She doesn't remember anything in the time from leaving hell until that point, so now we're getting a bit more context.
