From what I can see in the comments, in a nutshell: Gauzier is not just baffled about the «demon» standing in the angel workshop, but is seeing how far Raziel will dig himself with his Speech checks. Or, more unlikely, is unaware and the longer it takes for Raziel to find an exit, the worse it is. I wonder how far this will go. I can already see Neri being brought deeper into the workshop's offices while Raziel desperately tries to get himself off that situation.
