2023-08-09 15:33:48 +0000 UTCTao refers to himself as Charlie’s “token straight friend” in season 1. I’m interested to see where they take Isaac compared to the character from the books who inspired him (he’s the only one who didn’t make it directly into the show due to continuity concerns)

I think that since they really didn't focus on him alot in S1 you didn't really pay much attention to him, but if I recall correctly he was always reading some sort of LGBTQ+ related book. But the way he spoke and how he acted just screamed to me as to his sexuality.

2023-07-31 22:43:42 +0000 UTCI heard that staging a prom is somewhere in this season. There was no prom in the books, but then, no sports day either. Which makes me think the prom scenario is where Alice rubs their hands together and says to themself, "Now, THIS is where I surprise EVERYBODY!"

I’ve read all the graphic novels and there are some themes that I’m excited to see how Alice has added them to the series. There are also characters that were not in the novels. I’m interested to see Ben’s role since it’s so minimal in the graphic novels. All in all, great reaction as always and excited for this August!

2023-07-31 17:30:18 +0000 UTCLooks as if season 2 is going to focus on volume 3 of the graphic novels and maybe include some of volume 4. Isaac is not in the books at all and Alice decided not to include Aled, a character who is in the novels and created the role of Isaac for the show instead. So his story in the coming seasons is a complete unknown, which is exciting. The same for Imogen and Nick didn’t exactly come out to her in season 1. Even if she read between the lines, she seems not to be fully aware of Nick and Charlie’s relationship in this trailer, in the scene at the sink. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to episode 1! 🥰 I first started watching you on YouTube for your Heartstopper season 1 reactions, which seems a long time ago now!
