“Yes,” I said, smiling as I touch the ring with my other hand. 

“You should marry him quickly then.”

“Eh? Why?” He looks so serious.

The other priest looked to the sides to make sure there was no one listening. “The Church hasn’t announced yet, but there are hordes of demonic beast coming.”

“What? Here? Why? How?” I asked in a hushed voice. Demonic beasts were dangerous. Way more than monsters. 

“We at the Frontline pushed the demons back, but they made tunnels and transported all their beasts before we killed them all.” 

“Can’t believe this! We need to summon the strongest Heroes now!”

“Most of them are in the Frontline and can’t leave. If they do, the demons will recover the territories. My Hero was ordered to come back and help, but we’re going to need every non Frontliner’s and adventurer’s help.”

I looked at the direction my Hero had gone. I felt a tug in my heart, but I knew he’d never back down. Not when people needed his sword. 

“When will the beast arrive?”

“Soon. The Church and the King are coming up with the rewards for the emergency quest. It’ll probably be announced soon. We don’t have a lot of time.”
