Tough weekend.
Added 2025-11-02 15:44:27 +0000 UTCMy dog got sick. He got babesiosis. One day was fine, the next day he was weak, could barely stand on his paws and was peeing blood. We went to the vet on Friday, got tests done, he got IV and couple shots.
On Saturday he was still weak and wasn’t eating, we called a different vet for a house visit, the dog got IV and couple shots. Today, on Sunday the vet came again, dog got an IV and some shots.
He is feeling better now, although I had to make him drink water from my hand (didn’t want to drink from the bowl), but after the third IV and those shots today, he started peeing yellow, which is a good sign. He also had more energy because he wanted to run around with me and later went for a little walk.
So it was kinda stressful weekend, but I’m happy he’s doing better. He was so weak, yet the moment he saw me he got up and started wagging his tail ❤️
The worst part was hearing him crying when he was getting the shots and the vet was putting the PVC. I could barely hold him. I’m so happy he’s doing better now.

2025-11-04 00:00:39 +0000 UTCyeah, we went to the vet again and he got more shots. Later today the vet came to out house and said the IV is not needed anymore. He has more strenght and energy, drinks water, has a normal pee and everything is looking good. We will have the blood results tomorrow.
