Trip Report: Mexico City and Zion National Park
Added 2024-11-13 05:07:23 +0000 UTCWhat a whirlwind of a month it has been so far. I have been working to midnight 7 days a week to keep up with the filming/ release schedule and it is looking like it has paid off big time with how the content is looking.
I am very excited for the release of Dia de Muertos: Mexico City in under 2 weeks. The people, the traditions, the pacing, the lighting, the close ups, the non stop action. I must have watched this experience 20 times by now but it doesn’t get old. From Mexiquic (The place that inspired Pixar’s “Coco”) to the historic downtown district of Mexico City, this 1 hour 18 min experience is both inspiring and entertaining. It is most definitely my best work to date.
I am now currently filming Zion, writing this post from my tent. Angels Landing had some incredible landscapes. They say it is one of the most dangerous hikes in America, and I can see why. Nonetheless, I geared up with my massive rig today and made the entire hike to the very top. Tomorrow I’ll be wading through chest deep hypothermic cold river water to capture some incredible moments in “The Narrows”.
I know there are many that are unable to make it to these places. Disability, age, finances, and the time it takes to travel make these places unreachable for countless people (I know because of all the public and private comments I have received since the beginning of my journey)
This is what keeps me motivated to work constantly and tirelessly. I want to make a difference. I want to help everyone experience all the magic of the far reaches of this earth. So, from the bottom of my heart, I want thank everyone here that is continuing to support the creation of these professional quality immersive experiences. The difference you all and I have already made is significant, and together we will continue to bring the world closer together for the benefit of all.
