Day late on the episode, but I love the small Rice Shower arc. After watching it she became a top 5 Uma for me and the real life horses story is pretty sad I recommend checking it out sometime.

Her name is based on one of the happiest wishes for good fortune, yet she believes she brings misfortune wherever she goes. Her signature race wear appears to be either a black wedding dress or a funeral dress. The animation for her personal skill Blue Rose Closer has her walking down an isle carrying a bouquet of blue roses, only to toss them aside turn on her heel, pull her dagger and lunge. The Black Assassin has been the end to several of my Uma's careers, but she has also given me some of my most emotionally impactful victories. Her in game story is also worth viewing if only for her unique song A Little Prayer.

2025-10-09 15:31:56 +0000 UTCTen days after the loss to Mejiro McQueen in the Spring Tenno Sho a new fracture was discovered in Tokai Teio's right front leg. Treating this fracture ended the rest of the spring season and Tokai Teio did not return to the training stables until September. Tokai Teio was favorited to win the Autumn Tenno Sho but Mejiro Palmer and Daitaku Helios set a blistering pace and Tokai Teio ended in 7th. Tokai Teio then went on to win the Japan Cup, ridden by the same jockey as Symboli Rudolph, and defeating Naturalism by a neck. This win made Okabe Yukio the first jockey to win the Japan Cup twice. In the Arima Kinen Tokai Teio received over 170000 votes to appear, however a slip at the gate caused him to bump his rear. Tokai Teio stayed in the back of the pack throughout the race finishing 11th.

2025-10-09 15:01:13 +0000 UTCIf I'm not wrong, the reason people though Teio was gonna have a good performance in the Spring Tenno sho, is because Symboli Rudolf (Teio sire) was very good at long distance races. But I could be wrong.

2025-10-09 14:02:11 +0000 UTCthere's other factors to the real life audience upset at Rice Shower, but one of them that I have heard is it was caused by a new wave of fans that cared more about drama than gambling. These new type of fans actually spurred about because of how insanely dramatic and somehow perfect of a story structure Oguri Cap's (main character of Cinderella Gray) career was. While these new type of fans were wanting to see another horse take the triple crown, the normal fans were just chill and were gambling as usual which is reflected on rice shower being 2nd favorite to win in the Kikuka Sho.
