Pic 197: Back to the Diner

I'm back to working on Date Ariane 2, this week featuring the good old "Drive-N-Dine" which has been in the game since 2010. The diner was loosely based on the restaurant chain Hooters which recently filed for bankruptcy. Real life has not been kind.

My normal instinct is to put in a depth of field so the background is blurry. Might make for nicer portraits, but half the fun on this set is looking around at the background pictures and reflections.

Of course I am also doing the "Bonus" versions too. The pics below may look differently, the coloring looks too flat and too bright (see the overly white burger above) so I am redoing them with better lighting which I'll attach below.

I think this may be my favorite with the waitress balancing two meals on the tray (they are not actually balanced, just looks like it from this angle).

Yet Another Plan for DiaWoF

Considering how long Dating in a World on Fire is taking, I think I need to simplify the plot a little. I can add it back later if I feel the need.

Back in December, I talked about adding two new characters, and now I've decided not to. Makes the game too complicated. Gemma still has a role, but limited to minor character, the other is out completely.

The biggest change in the current build is getting rid of the opportunity to work at the warehouse and possibly live with Gemma. Instead, after the introducing Alex and the "caper", the game moves to a second date with Relay. This time at your place.
