Pic 152: Testing After Dinner Activities

Finally finish the dinners, now what?

I got ideas for the end of the date, and ideas for the second date, but the truth is, I really hadn't thought enough about what happens after dinner. Now it's crunch time to figure it out.

I'm modeling Date 1 after "Date Ariane in the Future" concept, but I don't want to repeat an art museum or downtown shopping, and while some at home dancing and "snogging" is definite going to be a thing, I need more than that.

Modern Problems calls for modern solutions, so I asked Chat GPT for 20 "futuristic dates". Most of them involved "virtual" activities, that I did at dinner, or very futuristic ideas that are outside the time frame I am going for here. But the ones that kind of worked, all seem to involve the prefix "Holo", like a holo zoo or  holo concert (neither of which I'll do, too complex).

Entertaining the idea, I went to DAZ and there was a 70% sale on environments going on. So I went to Stonemason, one of my favorite environment builders. That Downtown set I've been using in all my games was built by him. Sure enough, a lot of his older stuff was selling for around the $10 to $15 level.

What I decided is to replace the "Downtown" from Date Ariane with a "Holo Club" of some sort. Above is a futuristic downtown of sorts that represents the front of the Holo Club. I need cool neon signage and background foot traffic, but this is a test picture. There's a better test included.

Like Date Ariane's downtown, the Holo Club will have games and puzzles, and if you manage to finish, you are introduced to a more interesting anteroom.

Yeah, I know. It doesn't make sense from a practical point of view, but I'm invoking "video game logic" having just watched the Fallout TV show which makes no practical sense either except from a video game perspective, I decided to go with it.

First example is a "Mayan Room" where you have to answer questions about the Mayan Civilization, and since you and Relay just did a unit in college on that very subject, you try it out.

Successful completion takes you to a "pool room" like the swimming kind. Since neither of you brought swimming attire, relay offers skinny dipping.

Got other ideas: a mystery to solve (or escape room) that leads to a "speak easy" style bar, or trivia about "oldies" music from the 2020's that leads to a dance club.

Still haven't written any of it, and just bought the sets and did these test pics.
