This dinner branches off the visit to the community garden and is based on a common trope in romantic comedies where the new couple has dinner with an old veteran couple, as seen in "Annie Hall", "When Harry Met Sally", "Notting Hill", "Kissing Jessica Stein", etc. The new couple asks the veteran couple how they have gone so long as a couple. The veteran couple asks how romance has changed in this day and age, etc. Still writing the dialog.
It's a weekly dinner held by the local food collective that is held in a former church now a landmark. Putting lots of people in a scene is tough so I made it dark and de-focused the background to hide that there is like 5 people in the room.
It's a very pretty environment to hold a dinner in, but rendering each image takes forever. I decided to render some key images, then write the scene completely then fill in the blanks with new renders.
The older couple is the same as the ones from the garden that are loosely based on my aunt and uncle.
Once I finish writing, rendering, and voicing this scene, I'll release alpha 0.3 by the end of the month.
In other news: Ariane in Paradise has an official Steam Launch date of May 7th.
