Pics 104: AI Ariane experiments 2 - img2img

Pics 102 featured experiments creating an AI version of Ariane using text prompts only. They generally looked good though often off model.

Today we are going to experiment with another AI technique that is supposed to be better called img2img, because instead of a text prompt, we start with an image.

Last week I posted on my website the Date Ariane title screen image and the AI version created with img2img which turned out pretty good. We will continue that experiment with five other Ariane images from DAR.

Above is Ariane drinking absinthe in the black dress. You still need to do a text prompt using this tool and I believe I did "Ariane in a black dress" for a couple before finally telling it "Ariane in a black dress drinking in her kitchen"

As you can see the AI tries to match the picture as best as it can, though the first two just feature abstract backgrounds.

Second try is Ariane in a purple dress in a diner holding a drink. It seems to have picked up the word purple and just made everything it could purple.

I like these pictures, they are not very close to the original picture, but except for the weird hands, they look pretty.

Now to put the AI to a real test. Side view of Ariane driving a boat in a small black dress.

They are all side views, they are all boats, though the top right looks like a toy boat on the beach. The skimpy dresses however look to defy the laws of physics.

OK, nude photoshoot with a lit city in the background. The two on the right are only topless, and the lower left, while nude, is missing the city, and her fingers for some reason.  The top two thirds look good, on all three renders.

Finally an experiment where the AI just wasn't smart enough to do correctly. Ariane lying down naked on a beige couch. Top left has her face down, though the bottom half looks confusing.  The bottom two I cant tell if she is face up or if she is face down but her boobs are on her back.  I mean the sex in that position would probably be pretty good, but it looks all wrong.

Next week we will try a third AI tool called Controlnet, that may work out a lot better.  We'll see!

SITAR 0.8 Update!

There is a very good chance I will have this update posted by the end of the month, which was my goal. The main club scene is done, and the male player/Wendy scene is done.  Still working on the female player/Rebecca scene but I don't see any delays in getting it out over the weekend, or Monday at the latest.
