Community Post - How I Enjoy AC in 2024

Hey folks!

I just wanted to do a quick sharing of how I enjoy AC in 2024. Mayhaps it will inform you on apps that exist out there that could enhance your experience in AC. Let's start with my racing HUD:

HUD / UI Apps

1. CMRT Complete HUD

2. GT7 HUD, specifically the MFD / Radar app (since I prefer it)

3. Track Map Display (Extended)

I love pushing the informative displays downwards so my view up on the screen is not cluttered. I tend to also run with "Display Names" with the CTRL+L shortcut.

I'm also using the New AC Clean UI mod to modernize AC's GUI, alongside CSP's GUI "New pause menu" and "New driver tags".

Gameplay Apps

Other apps that help enhance my experience are the suite from Nuzzi - specifically the following:

1. FIA DRS App

2. AI Pit Strategy App

3. Clear Stopped AI App

4. AI Fuel Match App (free)

There is the Blue Flag App, but for me, sometimes it causes the AI car ahead of me to slow down even when its not a Blue Flag situation. The Rolling Start App is also super, super handy if you wanna emulate it, and if you'd like a VSC emulation, you could go for the Yellow Flag App. You get access to their full suite if you sub to their Patreon!

Lastly, I also have to recommend Crew Chief to emulate a pit wall, feeding you race / technical information and such. It makes it so immersive, especially if your name / nickname is mentioned.

Graphics Settings

Graphics-wise, my current PP Filter is Natural Mod, with slightly lesser saturation and increased reflections via the in-game Pure Config app.

I am using CSP version 0.2.4-preview1. I have AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution turned on in Graphics Adjustments, as well as Post-Processing AA. I've also increased the car LOD; I find it pleasing in replays so that they don't switch to LOD B when you're focused on the car. The Adaptive Clip Planes were adjusted by Pure.

Since my laptop has some firepower, I've turned on Extra FX and enabled high Motion Blur, Temporal AA and Intel's Ambient Occlusion.

Other CSP Settings

For Chaser Camera, I use the BACC - Need For Speed preset from aliex85. It gives such a good sense of momentum and swing; there's a demo video in the link!

Going into the cockpit, for NeckFX, I enjoy DiscoJoe's "Realistic settings for Neck FX". It feels super, duper natural. You will have to try it to see for yourself. It comes with two presets - for Road and Race Cars; I use the latter. But you'll need to make sure to turn off the following, otherwise the preset won't work -

And of course I've turned on Fireworks in ParticlesFX to launch after a race ends. Its just fun and reminds me of the final race in Ridge Racer Type IV. :>

For WeatherFX, I am running Pure LCS from Peter Boese. I have these turned on:

That was more comprehensive than I thought it'd be. πŸ˜‚ Hope this was informative!
