"Size Difference World" Game Development Story

I am requesting maximum feedback from everyone who has access to the working build of Size Difference World. Details below.

An important chapter of the game has now been completed. At the end of this chapter, the main character faces a crucial choice that will radically affect the further course of the game.

I would like to note right away that only the text part of the chapter is ready. The chapter turned out to be quite large. It includes about a hundred images, which are currently replaced with transparent placeholders. In addition, all the images that are already in the game are not final versions. I know that many people don't like the style and quality of the images as they are now. Furthermore, those who have access to the working build can see that the styles of some images differ. This is because, in the early stages of development, we used completely different tools and software. Later on, the style and drawing technique were changed to speed up development.

We still plan to redraw all the images in the final version of the game. We would like to significantly improve the quality of all images. At the same time, they must remain in the anime style. We really hope that, towards the end of development, our situation will good enough that we will be able to hire professional artists to create all the images for us.

Right now, our situation is very dire. However, despite this, and despite the fact that the game turned out to be too global and difficult, we want to bring this project to release! Whatever it takes!

When I say “we,” I mostly mean “I.” It just so happens that I have to do most of the work. I won't repeat myself about my life situation — nothing has changed in my life yet. You can read about my life situation in other posts. I know that many people don't believe me — that's your right. No one is forcing anyone to do anything.

My friend and patron, Sam Smith, whom I have been working with for many years and whom I trust like myself, is helping me. He also has problems in his life and cannot devote himself entirely to game development. However, his help is invaluable!

Finally, I want to move on to the request I mentioned at the beginning of this post. I need as much feedback as possible from those who have access to the working build of the game. Please, if possible, play through this build to the very end (to the point where the main character, while in Ayumi and Harumi's house, chooses his next path). Please let me know which path you would choose if you were the main character.

This choice by the main character gives rise to several large chapters of the game, and, unfortunately, I won't be able to develop them all at once. Please help me decide which chapter to develop first. You can contact me via private messages, as well as via the email. While I wait for your feedback, I will be thinking about the general plot developments for each of the subsequent chapters. I will also continue to create new images. Currently, the focus of my activity in creating images has temporarily shifted to our second game, called Final Exam. We need to release this game as soon as possible, as the publisher is already rushing us. Unfortunately, this publisher is not a sponsor. If he provided financial support, the work would be much more productive :-D. More details about the development of Final Exam can be found in other posts dedicated to this game.

We only had time to create one image for Size Difference World this weekend. Moreover, this image was based on another image from the game. We decided not to add this image to the private gallery. It will be redone in the final stage of development among the first ones. The new image for Size Difference World has been added to the secondary cutscene of the main character talking to the girl in the bathhouse.
