#SexDungeon23: Castle of Carnality (Room 330-335)

We're getting near the end of the penultimate region.  There will be some reveals here, so don't forget to check back later as I update this post up to the end of the month.

ROOM 335: CASTLE TOWER (HELL PORTAL)

The other option is to continue the main quest and rescue the prince to stop a bloody war breaking out.

He's not in the tower.  It was the PRINCESS OF UR-CARNOSA that took a liking to him.  The QUEEN disapproved because of the political problems it would cause.  Rather than give him back, the PRINCESS took him with her down into hell.

(This also helps with the potential plot justification that the COMPANION is aiding the player because the QUEEN wants the prince returned without being seen to be acting directly.)

Continuing with her aid, the COMPANION leads the player down to a room beneath the tower, where there is a portal to hell.  The player will need to go through to continue the mission.

And that's where we're off to for the final location – Hell.  Where things are going to get very... fleshy.


ROOM 334: CASTLE TOWER (QUEEN OF UR-CARNOSA)

The player will have a couple of choices after defeating the CAPTAIN.

The COMPANION will fill in more of the back story.  The QUEEN OF UR-CARNOSA doesn't have the kidnapped prince the player is trying to rescue.  That was her sister/daughter.  The QUEEN disapproved of the action as she wants to keep Ur-Carnosa prosperous as a brothel-port, and kidnapping the royals of neighbouring nations will rile them up to war.

There could be more opportunity for character background here.  The QUEEN might have actually tasked the COMPANION, one of her high-ranking servants, to help the player rescue the prince as she wants this incident resolved without seeming to have done it directly herself.

However, the game will give the player the opportunity to go right to the top and rescue the whole of Ur-Carnosa by deposing the QUEEN.

The COMPANION will warn against this, as the QUEEN isn't just a figurehead.  She's an inordinately powerful succubus and the player wouldn't stand a chance against her.  She won't stop the player from trying.

This can be left open to interpretation.  She likes the player enough to go against her orders to protect the queen.  Or, more likely, she knows the Queen is powerful enough that the player poses no threat to her.  For a more sinister interpretation, this is also part of their schemes.  The QUEEN wants to feed on powerful individuals and the player has proved themselves worth enough to present themselves to be feasted on.

The tower and royal quarters are pretty much empty.  As rooms it's just the bedchamber at the top where the QUEEN is waiting.

FIGHTFUCK: QUEEN OF UR-CARNOSA

Originally I considered making this an unwinnable battle.  The player goes up to challenge her, gets instantly destroyed, and is then rewarded with an epic Bad End of long draining sex with a proper Queen of Succubi.

I think it might be interesting to make this a very difficult optional battle, with the option for bonus endings if the player has really ground the levels or found a busted build powerful enough to defeat her.

To be clear.  The player isn't really meant to defeat her.  Unlike the other succubi of this region, the QUEEN fights with supercharged lust and charm magic powerful enough to break through even strong resistances.  She will get the player into bed with her and subject him to a truly epic bout of succubus lovemaking.

If the player did grind to stupid levels, or min-maxed out a busted build, he might do the impossible and defeat her, which then opens up a few possibilities for alternative endings:

- The player kills/exiles the QUEEN.  The other daemons lose their grip, allowing humans to retake the cityport and the player to become its first ruler of a new age.

- The player wins, but is tricked by either QUEEN or COMPANION.  He is given the position of ruler, but the QUEEN or COMPANION take the role of his concubine and slowly corrupt and manipulate him from the bedchamber.

- As above, but genuine.  The QUEEN/COMPANION is so impressed they take him as a lover and the partnership is more equal.  The QUEEN still rules (or is usurped by COMPANION) while the player is a human figurehead to promote/maintain better relations with the rest of the human world.  (I suspect this would be the most popular for people, but would require the setting to not be too grimdark horror, or presented to the player as the evil choice where they get to have sex with a lot of sexy succubi while turning a blind eye to the many humans they kill.)

- The player wins and leaves.  Ur-Carnosa goes into brief turmoil, but eventually another Queen (maybe the COMPANION) takes over and it goes back to being the City of 10,000 Whores.

All of these are optional endings (or ending possibilities).  The player will have technically still failed their original mission to rescue the prince, which will result in a nasty bloody war breaking out elsewhere in the world.

This could further cement it as the EVIL ending.  The player gets to safely fuck a lot of sexy succubi and monster girls in Ur-Canosa while the rest of the world descends into chaos and bloody war.

In reality this is most likely going to be moot for a regular playthrough.  The QUEEN will be too powerful and option exists just to see a nice Bad End of a proper arch-succubus demolishing the player in bed.

Going back to the main story, there is a prince to rescue.


ROOM 333: CASTLE TOWER (BOSS BATTLE)

On reaching the upper hall, the player will find the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN waiting for him.  She's run out of tricks or space to flee to, so it's time for the BOSS BATTLE

FIGHTFUCK: SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN

The main mechanic for her fight is that the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will constantly have flunkies (regular SOLDIER SUCCUBI and GAS-MASK SUCCUBI) drop in and out to hit the player with attacks.  How frequently this occurs will depend on how disruptive the player has been when going through the castle.  If they let a lot of prisoners free, the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will have less help.

The SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN uses similar restraint magic as the SOLDIER SUCCUBI and GAS-MASK SUCCUBI.  Her aim is to completely immobilise the player.  If she's successful she will draw out the teasing and taunting before coming in for luxuriously sexual Bad End.

At this point you might be wondering why the boss battle is now rather than on the last day of the month.  Well, there are a few things to resolve after the player defeats her.

This is where the SUCCUBUS COMPANION reveals her role.  She is also part of the security forces for Ur-Carnosa and her motivation will depend on how light/dark the overall setting ends up.  If more on the grimdark scale, where the player is straight-up killing the demons they defeat, the SUCCUBUS COMPANION is the CAPTAIN's rival and she used the player as her tool to instigate a coup to take over as captain of the guard.  If more light-hearted, the COMPANION is the actual captain of the guard and the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN is her subordinate.  This was all a test of Ur-Carnosa's defences versus an assault from dedicated 'heroes'.

I prefer the latter, but I'll have to get the morality straight.  If the succubi are slaughtering lots and lots of humans, it will look bad for this segment to end with a "good fight, thanks for testing our defences, now we'll get back to dryfishing hundreds of humans every week".

Either way, a lot of succubi will have shown up by now, so the player won't be able to attack the COMPANION.  For her part, she adheres to the honourable demon contract side of things, and won't throw the entire garrison at the player to snuff them out.  She will even help them to the next stage.

As for what that next stage is...


ROOM 332: CASTLE TOWER (STAIR)

After the fight, the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will challenge the player from the top of the stair.  She'll make out that the player has earned the right to fight her in single combat, but it's another dirty trick.  Once the player is halfway up the stair, the SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will stand aside to let her minions roll a magical expanding boulder down the stair.

As with everything else, the succubi regard actual violence as against their principles and a waste of a potential meal.  The "boulder" is non-lethal.  It's more like a giant rubber balloon.  However, if the player fails to dodge, it will engulf him and trap him inside before coming to rest in the bottom hall.

The SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will use magic to bring the player out of the magic balloon, but the player will be stuck on the surface.  This will result in a Bad End as the entire succubus garrison takes turns energy draining the player with sex.

If the player dodges the trap they will reach the upper hall and at last a boss battle with the annoying SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN.


ROOM 331: CASTLE TOWER (ENTRANCE)

With the gate open the player can finally enter the main tower of the castle.  They find themselves in an impressive entrance hall.

The SUCCUBUS CAPTAIN will again do her blow-a-kiss-and-run routine.  The player will find a SOLDIER SUCCUBUS and 2 x GAS-MASK SUCCUBUS left behind to slow them down.

FIGHTFUCK: SOLDIER SUCCUBUS + GAS-MASK SUCCUBUS x 2

Three at once is a tough fight, but we're near the endgame so the player should have a build to handle it at this point.

The two GAS-MASK SUCCUBI will have the two different loadouts – one with gas-blower, the other with grenades and darts.  They have a specific strategy.  The SOLDIER SUCCUBS will tank while one of the GAS-MASK SUCCUBI tries to immobilise the player long enough for the other to hit them with a blast from their gas-blower.


ROOM 330: CASTLE ARMOURY (RAMPARTS)

Unlocking the door leads up to another rampart.  This will allow the player to take out the pesky SOLDIER SUCCUBUS manning the gloop cannon.  She has another SOLDIER SUCCUBUS supporting her.

As with the others, they're trained in the knowledge that humans getting this far will likely be resistant to the usual succubus charm magic and so specialise in trying to overpower or ensnare them with more physical means.

At the other end of the rampart is the second contraption the player needs to activate to open the main gate to the tower.
