Art Preview - Sasori Oiran

The art preview for this week is the scorpion-tailed 'pleasure' assassin, Sasori Oiran.

I wasn't sure what version of her the art should depict. She presents herself to the player as a geisha-style courtesan, but beneath her robes has the body of a ninja assassin.

Marwmellow went with the assassin look while keeping her painted-white geisha face, which fits perfectly I think. Very sexy.

Her back story is so strong I really need to write it up as a novel. Unfortunately, it also requires reading a ton of 17th century Japanese history to do it justice. Maybe one day I'll be able to tell Sasori's full story.

Update 11th Jan '26

This week I really got stuck into the harlot notebook code.

It's still slow and very fiddly, but this is mostly due to me painstakingly getting the documentation up to date and trying to properly template the process.

One thing I changed was to write the 100% completed section first. For the earlier harlots there was a lot of "then the harlot did this", which isn't really relevant. The notebook section should just focus on the main points - usually what causes the Bad End and how to avoid it.

For Nooru I also had to create some new clue types:

- Semen Threshold
For situations where the harlot triggers additional ejaculations, but only if the player's semen count is high enough. It differs from the usual semen checks as the thresholds are normally high and not meeting them doesn't result in a Bad End through being out of semen.

- Charm Negation
Sometimes I'll have a harlot where the solution doesn't involve bringing the correct charm, but there is a charm that seems like it should be useful for the scenario. Sometimes I'll let the charm work as an additional path to a good end. Other times it won't. For those situations it will be referenced in text and there will be a clue to be solved so it can be recorded in the notebook so the player doesn't forget.

Nooru isn't a slime girl, but she can cause an ailment that will result in an instant Bad End if the player visits a slime girl after her. The anti-slime girl charm prevents the player from contracting that ailment, but it cannot prevent the Bad End as the lubricating slime Nooru secretes works slightly differently. This will be explicitly said in the notebook once the player unlocks it.

- Ailment Removal
Quite a few harlots have the ability to remove ailments like fatigued and befuddled with relaxing massages. I needed a special clue type to check for this.

As I cover more harlots I'll create more clue types to handle the various things that happen in the room.

The code library for clues is fairly comprehensive and relatively stable. There were a couple of bugs I found and fixed while working on Nooru's scenario.

The main issue is I came back to it after a few months of doing other things and there was a lengthy period of trying to remember and figure out what should be used where. I've been updating the documentation to save me wasting a lot of time chasing through the underlying code for things like whether a value is the upper or lower bound.

Working on Nooru was painfully slow. I really want to have this feature in HoHH, but if it takes me a week for each harlot, it might not be feasible. I'm hoping this will speed up as I get more familiar with the process. January is my test month for this. I don't mind Nooru taking a while as I try to figure out the process. I'm going to be concerned if harlots are still taking about a week to add the notebook code at the end of the month. I don't think it will be that bad. I think the process is going to speed up a lot the more harlots I do (as long as I stay firmly focused on it), but it is something I'm keeping a cautionary eye on.

Aside from the time spent, it is looking good. There are a few minor niggles I need to sort out. Charm names probably should not start with "the", or if they have to, I need to remove that before referencing them in some text.

I also need to figure out how to wrap that central text panel in scrollable panel. It should be the only thing that scrolls if the text overflows. In theory it should be simple to implement, but CSS is fucking weird on some things and a complete pain to implement some things without the rest of the display going to shit.

Anyway, progress, albeit slow progress.

January is going to be a bit of a dump month for doing this, but once it is finally sorted that will be a significant roadblock removed and I can get things properly moving again.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Art Preview - Squidgii and Squishii

Typical post-holiday confusion. This was supposed to go out yesterday, but I got my days mixed up and thought yesterday was Monday for some reason.

This is the adorable slime girl pair of Squidgii and Squishii. Unfortunately, they're quite lethal, which is why The Madam places them in the high-tier. On the positive side, they do make their visitors extremely comfortable, even if most don't leave their room.

Art by marwmellow. I think he did a good job of capturing their overall cute and squishiness.

Rough Plans for 2026

It's been a fairly chaotic holiday season, but I think things for me are roughly getting back to normal. As I was ill in bed for most of last week I figured I'd replace the regular update post with a post detailing my (rough) plans for 2026.

First up:

House of Hellish Harlots
This will be my main focus for the year. As I mentioned in the recap earlier in the week, there was a lot of progress in some area, but some stalling in others (in particular the writing of harlot scenarios).

There are two big priorities I need to focus on.

HoHH – Notebook Implementation
This is the biggest roadblock at the moment. I think the underlying code library is fine. It covers pretty much everything and can be extended to handle the weirder cases as well. The main issue is it's slow and fiddly to implement for each harlot. I'm often having chase through notes and past implementations, and it's fairly slow and painful to add for each harlot. I'm hoping this will be fixed when I get the process properly templated. At the moment it's very slow and scratchy. I think the feature is fairly important and will be good for the game to have, but the slowness of implementing the existing harlots is blocking everything else at the moment.

I'm going to use January as a 'solve it or ditch it' month for this. I don't want it derailing progress again as happened last year.

HoHH – Imp Harem Scenario
This is pretty much all planned out. I have each individual and their specialities worked out. I know what game mechanics will be used to determine Bad Ends. It's planned out enough that I've already submitted them as part of the latest commission to marwmellow (and have included the preliminary sketches with this post).

It's just the writing now. Which is held up a bit because of trying to sort the notebook implementation out.

These two things will be my main focus for January/February and I hope to have the imps ready as February's release.

Then for future HoHH work.

HoHH 1.5 – Proper Demo
The Imp Harem is the last of Round 5 elite harlots. Once they're in, I want to get that proper full demo out. This would be the first 5 rounds and end with an elite as the demo 'end boss'. Before the demo can go out I'd like to make a few art tweaks to remove some of the placeholder art and icons (the semen gauge, potions, ailment icons, etc). Maybe also put a nice start menu in.

These are all minor things I can squeeze in while working on harlot scenarios.

HoHH – Post-Room Events
This a maybe. I've had ideas for random post-room events for a while. These can be harmful or beneficial and are also meant to give the player something more to do on leaving the room than talking to the Portly Gentleman or Elegant Woman. For this type of game, the gameplay comes from giving the player a choice of more activities than the time allows, so having 3 possible activities and only 2 actions adds the required gameplay tension.

If and when this gets done will come down to how fast it can be implemented. If it's something like the Elegant Woman's barbed leaving messages, where I can hammer out 20 or so possible events in a day, I might look to squeeze it in before the demo release. If there's any kind of awkwardness in writing or implementation, it goes right to the back of the TODO queue.

Every time I've tried to put a timeframe on the proper HoHH 1.5 demo, it's not happened, so I'm going to leave that open. First half of 2026, hopefully. I want to get it out because the game project does feel like it's flying under the radar at the moment and I want to get something out to attract more attention.

HoHH – Round 9 Elites
This is the next round of elites. I have rough plans in place.

Faction 1: Latex weaving arachne that loves asphyxiating and erotically smothering her captives.
Faction 2: Nothing yet. Maybe The Doctoress and a lot of naughty sex toy machines.
Faction 3: A sensual Kitsune.
Faction 4: The Buxom Lolibaba – naughty things summoned from cards.
Faction 5: A nautical themed huntress with ocean-themed 'hounds'

I'm not going to rush things. The elites will continue to be '5-scenarios-in-1' and about 10K words. If things go to plan, I will get these done this year.

HoHH – Queens
Depending on where I use The Madam, these will be the end-boss queens the player will have to survive at the end of the night in order to escape the House. In contrast to the elites, their scenarios will be more sequential and the player's progress in them determined by how the run went. I'm still figuring out what this will be – maybe some kind of overall faction affinity, maybe some key checkpoints need to be hit during the previous rounds, maybe even a meta element of unlocks achieved over previous runs.

Faction 1: Her Suffocating Eminence, Pulvina Velare, the XIIIth Pontifex Maxima de Obruo Suspiria – an eldritch abomination monster girl with a speciality in smothering and erotic asphyxiation.
Faction 2: [Redacted] for now. I know what she is, but it's spoilery, so I'll play those cards close to my chest.
Faction 3: The multi-armed pleasure goddess Priti Nāndyāh
Faction 4: Undecided currently. Might be The Madam, might be Temptacia at full-strength, might be multiple of The Madam's inner circle (group scene with Temptacia and other high-ranking faction 4 succubi).
Faction 5: The Grand Huntress. Probably a gauntlet of various elite 'hounds' with the Grand Huntress getting more involved the more she likes the player.

Ideally, I'd like to be on to writing the queens by the end of the year.

HoHH – Other Scenarios
There are about 4 or 5 high-tier harlot slots to fill and I mostly know what's going to fill those. I also need to let Nurse Honey properly loose to demonstrate the player only gets a limited amount of 'refills' from her before she comes to collect.

Side quest lines are also in here. To be written when I get a chance.

I think that covers most of what needs to be done for HoHH. It's fairly similar to the 2025 plan, which got derailed when I made a lot of improvements to the art version of HoHH.

Regular Writing – 8th Short Story Collection
As it was fairly effective last year, I'll be taking a couple of months off around July/August to get A Succubus for 8 ready for publication.

I still have a lot of spare stories in my stockpile to go into this. My plan is at least 3 new stories – A succubus tablet story, a Nicole story, and a Vs story. The Vs story is already written and just needs to be typed up and edited.

This shouldn't require as much new writing as A Succubus for Social Justice, but I underestimated the amount of time for general editing, manuscript prep, publishing, and promotion last year, so I'm put aside 2 months to be safe.

I'll also continue to write new stories at random. If a really good idea hits, I generally take a couple of days off to write it while the idea is hot, and will continue to do this.

H-Space Bestiary fix ups?
This kind of fell off. I think it might because they were a little more time-consuming to do than I thought, but I wouldn't mind getting back on these.

I'm also conscious I'm running out of harlots for the harlot spotlight series and I would like to be able to put out something for the $5 and higher tiers. Maybe this?

I'm not sure yet. I'll think about it over Jan and Feb while I'm posting the last of the remaining harlot spotlights.

Adopt-a-Harlot
I need to figure out a better way of organising it. Some patrons have very kindly commissioned more explicit H-scenes of harlots to be added to the game and I'd like to promote this more. H-scenes were not in the original scope, so it is stretching my art budget a little. Having patrons step in to 'adopt-a-harlot' for $150ish helps a lot with that. I need to formalise more what adopt-a-harlot means and also make it easier to facilitate payment for it. And maybe additional benefits on top, although I'm not sure what those might be (chance to name the protagonist in a spin-off short story featuring the harlot?).

Any suggestions there are welcome. It's something I'd like to organise and promote better.

And that's my rough plans for 2026. I can't guarantee I'll stick to them. Sometimes other things come up, such as the weird derailment, but also improvement, of the HoHH 1.5 version last year. It gives me a rough plan to start with, anyway.

Let me know your thoughts below.

Print Book Version of A Succubus for Christmas Available

Not actually ready in time for Christmas, sadly. I wanted to make sure the proof copies looked okay, and they were held up in the Christmas post.

Fortunately, the print-on-demand version looks okay, so I've made it go live on the Amazon store. You can find it here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GDR1PBQS

This is my first collection back in "print" print with new cover art drawn by marwmellow (and very deceptive art at that - don't be fooled by her cuteness!).

I've tried to set the price as low as possible while still being able to make something from each sale. PoD paperbacks are sadly more expensive than mass-market paperbacks to produce, so $15.99 was as low as I can go.

Throughout 2026 I'll be commissioning new cover art and making more of the A Succubus for series available as print books. It will be nice to give them a physical presence on the bookshelf again.

2025 Recap

Ugh, this is a couple of days later than planned. Normally I don't do much for the holidays, so I'm able to carry on working through mostly unchanged. This year was a little busier and then I've been knocked on my ass by whatever flu bug is floating around, making the holiday season a bit of a trainwreck.

A metaphor for the year?

It's been a strange one. Normally, if I'd deviated that much from the original plans, I'd think things went wrong somewhere, but overall I think I had a pretty good year.

First, let's start with the good stuff. I finally put that 7th collection of short stories out. That's been on the todo list for a long time. Some of the collection-exclusive stories were started so long ago, the real-life politicians hinted at in the stories aren't even in politics anymore. Given how long ago I started work on "Incall with a Succubus", "Mage vs Succubus Slime" and "A Succubus for Social Justice", it felt good to finally drag them off the in-progress pile and finish them.

I knew the collection would be difficult to put together. My plan was always to have this one be the collection that started to tie the various threads together and explicitly show all the characters are existing and interacting in the same setting, and there is a larger story taking place. I think A Succubus for Social Justice accomplishes this and I hope readers enjoyed some of the revelations.

It did require a lot more work to write as a result. In the end, brand new content accounted for about half of the word count and I also needed to write and add an additional new short story as well (which allowed Kiki Sumoppai to escape the House and show off her special talents). This meant that rather than taking a month off to write it, it was probably closer to two months. I don't mind this so much. It meant I didn't use as many from my stockpile of short stories and that I pretty much still have enough to put out an eighth collection next year. That won't be as complex to put together and should only need 3 new short stories, one of which I've already written. I'll talk about that more in a "Plans for 2026" post I'm planning to put out, flu permitting, at the end of the week.

The one thing I did underestimate was the time required to edit, format and basically put the manuscript together and upload to Amazon and other ebook retailers. One of the major pain points of 2025 is I'm clearly wearing too many "job" hats that are dragging me away from just doing the writing. Unfortunately, I'm not making enough to hire people in to help with that (and I've heard enough horror stories with editors and publishers to question whether it's even that helpful to hire unknowns for those roles). As I will be stuck with doing everything myself, I think I need to be a little more realistic with the time needed for those other activities. Even though I don't need to write many new stories for the 8th collection, I think I should set aside two months for working on it – one month for the new material, and the second month for the various editing, formatting and uploading-to-Amazon tasks.

On the other positive note, that fiddly formatting work did also include getting proper print manuscript versions prepared for my old ebooks. I'm currently slowly commissioning marwmellow to draw new cover art for the old collections, and as that comes in I will be finally getting print paperback versions of them out for people who prefer to physical over ebooks.

And from the side project to the major ongoing project – House of Hellish Harlots.

And first, we'll start with the bad. Originally, I was planning to get stuck into the harlot elite encounters and I was hoping I'd be nearly done with the round 9 elites by this point and thinking about the end-game queens. New harlot scenario writing pretty much slowed to a crawl this year to the point marwmellow has nearly caught up with pinup art for all the harlots.

The slime smother nun was the only new one I wrote this year. If your only interest is the text-only version and new harlot scenarios to read, this year didn't have a lot for you, for which I apologise. The elite scenarios are fairly complex to write and even though I've been working on HoHH for longer than I initially planned, I don't want to start rushing everything to get it done (and end up with the later elite and queen scenarios feeling like Lost Izalith from Dark Souls). If each needs to be 10K words, I will write 10K words and have the harlot give the player a truly elite experience!

While the text-only version lagged, the art-version of HoHH (1.5) is forging ahead into areas I never expected a Twine game to go. I put more work into the CSS/html, gave a few NPCs proper shop displays, and now I think that version of HoHH is starting to resemble a proper low-budget indie game. With the help of some patrons "adopting" harlots, I've even started commissioning proper H-scene art (which can be seen in the screenshot accompanying this post). HoHH has moved on a long way from its initial text-only beginnings!

Generative AI, while controversial, has opened up some possibilities. While I was already using it for placeholders and less-critical artwork such as backgrounds and some icons, the technology has expanded into being a fairly useful backup tool. I think human artists are generally superior, so the more important harlot pinups and H-scenes will continue to be commissioned from humans. AI art has made it possible to give each harlot their own unique bedroom background, which would not have been feasible to commission. The other thing I've been experimenting with is using it to animate marwmellow's art. In the wild days before the moral busybodies clamped it down, the early versions of grok imagine were doing some impressive and sexy things. Currently, I'm not planning to add animations to HoHH, but I'm keeping one eye on the technology. If it opens up again to be able to do lewd stuff again, I might look into adding animation to harlot pinups and – more-excitingly – H-scenes. This is something that would have been massively beyond the resources of the initial project idea, but might be possible as the technology advances (and more importantly, the moral busybodies are told to f off).

After drifting more into more positive territory, it's time to get back to the bad.

The harlot notebook implementation was easily my biggest bugbear of the year. With hindsight, I think this might have been a step too far in terms of feature creep. Once I figured out it could be done, it was an extremely tempting (and maybe even necessary) step to make. It solves what I was fearing might be some fairly bad gameplay flaws, which is why I want to add it now rather than the more sensible approach of holding it back as a feature for a hypothetical HoHH 2.

Unfortunately, it is extremely fiddly to implement on a harlot-by-harlot basis. It took me about three attempts to get the code library right and I'm still working on trying to get a nice template/work-flow to add it for all harlots. I think it will be easier for when I come to add the mid- and late-tier harlots, but for now it's slightly awkward to add for existing low-tier harlots.

I'll go over it more in the "Plans for 2026" post, but January will likely be the "solve-it-or-ditch-it" month for the notebook functionality. I want it in, because it adds a lot to the gameplay of HoHH, but it did end up being a major roadblock in 2025.

I think it maybe encapsulated the biggest problem I had in 2025 – more time spent doing things that were not writing sexy succubus smut.

While I think that overall the year was mostly pretty good in terms of progress, I would like to balance 2026 more on the actual writing. I suspect that is why most of you are here!

Anyways, that's all for 2025. Here's to a great 2026!

Update 28th Dec '25

...is delayed.

Christmas season has been a little more busy than normal and the one day I do have free, I'm stuck in bed with something.

I was going to replace this with a full end-of-year recap post, but I'm feeling like shite at the moment. Hopefully I'll get that out tomorrow or Tuesday.

Apologies.

Art Preview - Llefrith SWMP-08

My schedule is a little spotty over the Christmas period for obvious reasons. I felt I should drop something nice just before Christmas Day.

Here is the last of the harlot pinups for the artificial beings faction - Llefrith SWMP-08.

While the Elitas are fairly aloof and mysterious, I wanted Llefrith SWMP-08 to be more straightforward and business-like. The Elitas are charged with finding rare, exceptional genetic material (semen). Llefrith is the bulk procurer. As long as there are no flaws, she'll pump out lots of it. For that reason it made sense to give her more of a buxom dominatrix appearance.

Marwmellow did a great job of capturing that, I think.

Happy Christmas all!

I'm not sure what my posting schedule will be like over the holidays, but I'll try to keep chipping away on the harlot notebook code when I have spare moments.

Update 21st Dec '25

This was a slightly sluggish week going into the holiday period.

The next art commission order has been placed. One of the pieces is a cover for the A Succubus for Valentine's Day collection. Of more interest is I also added the imp harem to that batch, marking it the first time I've commissioned a harlot pinup before writing the scenario. I do have their descriptions and various scenes worked out in my head, so I'm hoping I can get onto writing them soon.

Another harlot has been graciously "adopted" by a patron, which means we also have some nice H-scene art to look forward to as well.

As mentioned in the previous post, I have now got a print version of A Succubus for Christmas ready, but I'm waiting to receive a print proof from Amazon as a final check there are no problems before making that available to buy. I did update the ebook with the new cover, and that is available.

The sluggish part to the week was working on the harlot notebook sections. I've been picking away at it, but haven't really hit a high gear yet. This is what I'll be focusing on for the rest of December as it's the last major coding thing holding up the art version of HoHH.

Happy Christmas all!

New Edition of A Succubus for Christmas

My first collection, A Succubus for Christmas, now has a new cover.

This was supposed to celebrate me getting a new print version out, but I managed to bungle that. It's ready, but I want to order and check a print proof first to make sure there aren't any errors.

Unfortunately, thanks to the various HoHH releases, I left it a little late getting the full coverflat ready. And I also forgot this is the Christmas season, where the post is completely overloaded. So rather than turning up in about 4 days, I'm not going to get the print proof until the start of January. Ugh.

The good news is that everything is pretty much ready for the print version. As soon as I get the proof and can confirm there are no stupid errors, I will make the print version go live.

In the meantime, I thought I'd update the ebook version now, so at least one version of the Christmas book is out before Christmas.

It's not a new book, so don't buy it again if you already own it. All I've changed is the cover.

The main thing is that if people want a physical copy rather than ebook (which A Succubus for Christmas used to have back when I was with eXcessica), you will be able to buy that in a couple of weeks or so.

If you don't already own the collection and want to pick up the ebook. You can find it here on:
Amazon
Kobo
Google
Apple Books

I still need to resolve a snarl-up between my Smashwords and Draft2Digital accounts, so only the older version is on Smashwords at the moment.

The print book version should be available in a couple of weeks.

I'm also planning to update the covers and put out print versions of the other A Succubus for collections throughout the first half of 2026.

Art Preview - Elita-05 & Elita-07

With the recent slew of HoHH releases out of the way, it's time to get back to the art previews.

Here are The Doctoress's elite milking androids, Elita-05 and Elita-07. I wanted a pair of sleek, doll-like androids and marwmellow delivered.

I wasn't sure about adding more futuristic style harlots to the House, as it was supposed to be lust-daemon monster girls and typical succubi. I think The Doctoress's artificial beings faction does add a bit of variety, even if it was an accidental inclusion that just sort of happened.

Let me know what you think of the art below.

Update 14th Dec '25

Just a quick update post today as most of it was covered in the release notes for the HoHH updates put out this week.

I put out two releases for HoHH1.5 (the art version) this week. The first was a boring one that reorganised where the various harlot and other house data was initialised. The second was a big art change that gave each harlot their own unique background as well as sneaking in a few more explicit art pieces for harlot H-scenes.

I think I'm back up to speed with respect to that codebase now. The last big task before I can finally start expanding the number of playable rounds beyond 4/5 is the harlot notebook entries for the low-tier harlots. I'll be working mostly on that for the rest of December.

The other thing I tried to do was get the print flat covers done so I can put out print versions of some older books. That ran into some weird issues and a day that went horribly wrong for one reason or another, so I put it aside as it was, as they say, "doing me head in". I'll get back to that early next week as I'd like to have those print versions ready before Christmas.

The other thing I'd like to get started is the imp harem scenario. I'm probably going to concentrate on the notebook pieces, but I have a good idea of what the imps look like and do now, so I'd like to sneak in some writing on that when I can.

Thanks for the interest and support. I hope you're having fun with the new version of HoHH.

HoHH1.5 Release - v0.015 [new background art]

I delayed this a day because I was waiting on a... surprise, which I've been able to add to the release. ;)

The last release had quite a few code changes, but (hopefully) didn't change a great deal for the player.

This is the opposite. It's a few minor code changes (including some bug fixes), but the player should see a big difference when playing it.

NEW BACKGROUND ART - HARLOT ROOMS
While I appreciate AI art is controversial, this is a good use for it. Rather than a single generic background, each harlot now has unique background art for their room. This should better reflect the harlots with more unusual rooms, such as Asphya.

NEW HARLOT H-SCENE ART
The "surprise". I received the new commissioned art last night from marwmellow, so I snuck it into this release. I'm not going to mention which ones, to keep it a pleasant surprise, but a few harlots now have some slightly more explicit art for when they're in "action" within their room. I'll continue to add more as I commission it.

I also should sort out and get that adopt-a-harlot scheme properly up and running, as this part of the project might get a little expensive for me.

NEW BACKGROUND ART - ALL LOCATIONS
As the quality of AI art is getting better, i thought I'd update all the other background art as well.

I'm a little mixed on it. While it is mostly an improvement on the old placeholders, there are some I like, and some that didn't turn out as good as I initially thought while playtesting. Getting stylistic conformity is one area where AI art is fairly weak, so I'll probably continue to refine the prompts and update the art until I'm happy with it.

MINOR BUG FIXES
- Removed the flicker on entering the room for harlots that don't display their pinup art right away (because they're hidden or disguising their true forms). All harlots show their full pinup art as default, which resulted in an annoying flicker on entering the room for some harlots which start off with no art or just their portrait.
- H-scene art should now have the same behaviour as the regular pinup harlot art in the mobile version of the display (tapping on the smaller picture brings up a full-screen version of the art).
- Fixed the bug in Bebi's scenario that briefly made her 100% fatal. Her reign of terror is now over and it should be possible to survive a visit to her.

I've update the houseofhellishharlots website with the new version. It can be found here by clicking the "Private Demo" button.

The password is unchanged: r1Bb0n

I've also attached the local version to this post as an attachment. Download, unzip the file, and double-click on the .html file to play it within your default internet browser. (Computer users only. Mobile device users will probably need to play it from the houseofhellishharlots website.)

I hope you enjoy the new version. Let me know what you think and also if you encounter any bugs in the comments below.

Generative AI in House of Hellish Harlots

Given that the controversy over generative AI has ramped up, I thought I'd put out a post with my own thoughts, along with a declaration of where and why I use it for the House of Hellish Harlots game project.

Personally, I regard it as another tool in the toolkit. A human artist is nearly always better (and they will draw boobies for you without having to worry about "Content Moderated" censors), but most projects do not have infinite money, and so AI joins the other tools to bridge those gaps when the resources aren't there.

If you've been following me long enough, you'll have seen this in the evolution of my book covers. The early ones were composited from clip art and looked pretty rough. Then I used early generative AI for replacement covers back in 2022. And now I think the sales are there to justify hiring a human artist to redo all the old book covers, which is what I'm doing.

The same is also true of HoHH. It was originally text-only. AI art opened up the possibility of adding pictures, which then justified the hiring of an artist to make a better job of the harlot pinups. In this case AI art actually resulted in a lot of commissions and work being generated for a human artist!

Because I've never thought of AI as a replacement, the increasingly ill-tempered discourse about it online has caught me by surprise. My own opinion is if you can afford and justify the human artist, hire the human artist. If the resources aren't there or you're trying to do something that isn't feasible to get humans to do, use the machine.

Some people have differing and strong opinions on this, so in the interests of full disclosure, here is a full breakdown of where and why generative AI has been used within HoHH.

My overall aim has been to make HoHH be the best it can. However, it's a niche concept (fully XXX-rated adult game featuring femdom monster girls) and my budget is miniscule. Originally, I set aside about £10K and I've used about £7K of that on harlot art commissions. The subs here have helped a lot, and so I'm probably going to set aside a further £10K and give the harlots proper H-scene art as well. It's stretching my finances a little, but I think I have something good and I'd like to end up with something similar to classic monster girl games like Monmusu Quest or Shrift.

Now for that breakdown.

WRITING
I don't use AI in any of the writing. That is my primary skillset, so I don't feel I need machine help there.

CODING
I don't use AI here either.

Mainly because I haven't figured out a way to make it helpful. This is my secondary skillset, so I'm not averse to bringing a machine in, if I figure out a way to make it work. Currently, the project resources are not there to hire a specialist and I haven't figured out how to incorporate AI, so I will continue to clumsily hack the html and CSS myself.

ART – HARLOT ART (PINUPS, PORTRAITS and H-SCENES)
This is outside my skillset, but I also think this is the primary art for the project. People are here for the sexy harlots, so the limited budget should be focused on them.

Currently, all the harlot art is commissioned from human artists and I will continue to do this.

ART – OTHER NPCs
This covers the male NPCs such as the Barman, Portly Gentleman, and the car NPCs that arrive with the player. In H-RPGs the non-essential NPCs are usually depicted as empty silhouettes. This seems a good use case for AI to improve on that.

Given the choice between commissioning proper art of non-essential NPCs (i.e. ones the player can't have sex with) or harlot sex scenes, I'd rather use the limited funds to commission more sex scenes.

Non-essential NPC art will be AI-generated.

ART – CHARMS, POTIONS, AILMENT
This covers all the various icons you might see in an RPG. These fall in the middle ground of being somewhere where you can get away with generic art, but having custom original art is probably better.

For me, the budget is so tight it comes down to how serviceable the AI art is.

The charm cards and icons came out surprisingly well and consistent. I could replace them with human-drawn art, but I think that money would be better spent commissioning more H-scenes instead.

The potions and ailment icons are a little rougher. AI wasn't so useful there, so I might need to get some human help in out of necessity.

My rule for here is use AI if it looks good, but I might have to divert some money from the sexy harlot art funds to fix the things AI is not so good at (consistency, being allowed to draw nice boobies, etc).

ART – BACKGROUNDS
Priorities come into play here. Backgrounds can also be relatively more expensive to commission depending on level of detail. Most H-RPGs seem to use generic art packs here, which makes sense. People play those games for the sexy monster girl sprites, not look at the background scenery. AI is a slightly better generic background creator than re-using the same art that shows up in multiple small H-RPGs, and I think this is where it will see a lot of use for very small RPG projects.

AI also opens up additional possibilities. Using it, I can give each harlot a custom room background. This wouldn't be feasible for a project of this scale to commission from human artists. It's feasible to get the machine to do this, especially as most of the art will be obscured and not visible anyway.

Letting AI handle the backgrounds frees up more funds for sexy harlot art, so I will continue to use AI for the background art.

ANIMATION
Animation is out of scope. HoHH has over 80 harlots and the final version will have around 100+. Animation is extremely expensive and time-consuming. Hiring humans to animate 100+ characters just isn't feasible for a project of this scale.

AI might help here, depending on whether the current annoying content moderation measures are lifted.

Some of the AI animation added to marwmellow's art (with his permission) has looked promising. Not being currently able to animate the more explicit art does hamper its potential usage.

It's something I'm keeping an eye on, but for the moment adding animation is out of scope.

SOUND – MUSIC, FX
Music and voice acting are even further out of my wheelhouse. Currently there is no sound at all in HoHH. I feel if I'm going to release it as a commercial game, I will need to put something there.

Because the project funds are strictly limited and focused on the art, my options were to look at open-source files (ideally not the same music themes that seem to show up in every H-RPG!). If AI adds to those options, I might consider it, but it's not something I know much about, so I'll leave that up in the air for now.

SOUND – VA
There are going to be 100+ characters in HoHH. Voice acting for all of them simply isn’t feasible for a project of this scale.

I'm not sure AI will do anything to help there either. I did get snippets of voices and introductions when experimenting with grok, but the voices mostly still have that 'uncanny valley' problem and keeping them consistent for a particular character will probably be a nightmare.

I'm not planning for HoHH to have any form of VA at the moment.

And I think that covers all areas.

I’ll repeat my opinion that AI is best used as a fill-in tool for when you don't have the resources or it's not feasible to hire a human creator. Given infinite funds, I'd always hire humans. In the real world we don't have infinite money, so trade-offs need to be made. If I can only fund one, I'm going to fund the art of a sexy succubus harlot doing sexy things rather than nice art of her bedroom. And as I want the project to be the best it can, using AI as a fill-in tool is better than 'nothing at all'.

Those are my own personal opinions. I appreciate others are going to have differing opinions on this. In the interests of openness, I think it's correct to declare what I'm using, where, and why, so people can make up their own mind on what they choose to spend their money on.

I ask people to be civil and respect others might not have the same opinions on this. The kind of performative harassment and bullying I've seen on social media on this topic will not be tolerated here.

And with that out of the way it’s time to get back to your regularly scheduled succubus smut! There is another HoHH1.5 release on the way I’m hoping to drop tomorrow or over the weekend. This adds custom bedroom backgrounds for all the harlots as well as some minor fixes.

HoHH1.5 Release - v0.014

And the new release is ready.

This is an internal re-organisation release to ease me back into hacking code again after taking a couple of months off to get the new book out. And also to stabilise the codebase so I can get back to adding new features without worrying about random things breaking. As such, it's not too exciting for players as it's more of a "just check it's working the same as before" releases.

I'd gotten a little too cavalier with some changes, so this release was to get everything stabilised and locked down, so I can build off it. Mainly it was about getting all my various individual module tests working again.

The main change is to tidy up how the data is initialised. For a long time this was all done in the StoryInit passage, so everything would be in place on start-up. This was fine for when everything was reset on the player starting a new run, but not so fine when I needed to preserve notebook data across different runs.

What I've done is move the data initialisation out of StoryInit and separated it between persistent data (eg notebook data on harlots) that needs to be preserved between runs and the standard run data that is reset at the beginning of each new game. Everything is initialised on start-up, but only the standard run data is re-initialised at the start of a new game. It's pretty basic stuff, but I needed it to be cleaned up in the code.

While it is mainly for the harlot notebook data, the codebase is now set up so that I can manage persistent data for other things. Examples of this are extending the notebook to track information learned about the various charms or faction lore. It should also make it easier to create a first tutorial run to explain the mechanics of the game and stagger the introduction of the various NPCs. It should now be easier to implement these in the future.

The other thing it should help with is backward compatability with saves. This was something that was worrying me. Eventually HoHH is going to be stable enough that people are going to want to keep their current saves. I'm still going to be adding new harlots, but I don't want to force players to start again with a new save every time there is an update. This is now less scary as most of the data is reset at the beginning of a new run (a new visit to the House with a new character), which means it should reset with the new additions. This is something I still need to implement, but it's no longer quite as daunting as I feared it would be.

Currently v0.014 should play the same as v0.013. I'm still in the middle of adding notebook and autosave functionality, so not all of the harlots will have it. The main purpose is to get it out and have people check it to make sure nothing is broken.

Not the most exciting, I know, but necessary.

I've attached it here as a .zip file (unzip it and run the .html file in your default browser). I've also updated the houseofhellishharlots website. You can find the new version by clicking the Private Demo button on this page.

The new password is: r1Bb0n.

Try it out and let me know if you run into any problems.

Update 7th Dec '25

I was hoping to drop a new HoHH 1.5 release either yesterday or today, but I need a little more time on that.

Most of the stabilising has been done. When I added autosave and notebook functionality, it got a bit messy with where the data was being initialised and I managed to break most of my individual module testing. I've cleaned most of that up and now all my separate tests are working again.

Currently, I'm tidying up the start-up passages. I'm out for the rest of the day, but I think I should be able to finish it Monday.

v0.014 is an internal reorganisation release. It's to clean-up some code and make sure the changes don't explode anything. It should hopefully make it easier for me in the future to manage version compatability. (Basically, being able to add a new harlot and not have everyone's existing save games suddenly stop working).

After that I have a few things queued up.

HoHH1.5 v0.15 will likely add the new backgrounds for individual harlot rooms. Maybe also some new H-scenes, although I'm not sure about that. I might hold them back until notebook functionality has been added to the respective harlots.

After that I have some print book covers to do and print book versions to put out. Marwmellow has sent me the new art for the A Succubus for Christmas cover and it looks great as you can see above. Don't be fooled by that particular succubus's cuteness!

After that I need to take a couple of days off to file my taxes. Blegh.

Then for the rest of December my time will be split between getting back to updating notebook functionality for the low-tier harlots and starting writing on the imp harem elite harlot. I've had the game mechanics for the imps for a while, but I was a little uncertain on their sex scenes. Originally, their specialities were the usual anal, paizuri, etc, which felt a little unimaginative. I've solved that problem and come up with some nice ideas for them. I can't wait to clear my current workload to get onto writing them.

Thanks for your support.

Art Preview - N3P-NTHes

And we're onto the high tier harlot art previews. These are planned to show up in rounds 10-12, so it will be a while before this art makes it into the art version of the game.

(However, the high-tier scenarios are already in the text-only version of the game, where they can currently show up in any round.)

This is N3P-NTHes, the artificial pitcher plant girl. She might be one of my favourite pieces marwmellow has done for me. It's really ominous and captures the feeling that the player might have made the wrong choice entering her room. It's the sort of art I could imagine gracing the cover of an old pulp horror or sci-fi magazine, so I was really pleased with what marwmellow did with her.

If I remember right, the head crest was originally drawn on Chén. I told him I didn't think it was right for her, but I might have a harlot where it would fit perfectly. And it does, in my opinion.

Let me know what you think down below.

Update 30th Nov '25

After a couple of break days, this week I was back on HoHH.

To ease myself back (and remember what most of the code does), I'm currently tidying up the various Init passages that determine where data is initialised. In the original codebase, this was pretty much all done in the StoryInit passage and then again on the start of the new run. However, I now have harlot notebook data that persists across different runs, so I need to split the Init passages between data that is reset at the beginning of every new run, and data that needs to be preserved (and saved) across multiple runs.

Thankfully, I don't think it will be that scary to implement. It should also open up options to create other notebook sections on things like Charms. It should also make it easier if I want to create a one-off tutorial to better explain the mechanics on a player's first run.

It's mainly just to tidy up the code so it's a bit easier to see where things are initialised and also to remove some unneeded dependencies so it's easier to test the individual modules on their own.

I'd been getting a little sloppy with experimenting with new features and adding new notebook sections for harlots, so I think I'll use the next release to clean up the data initialisation and make sure nothing is blowing up.

There was the usual period of flailing around for a day or two while I tried to work out what new code I needed to write. During that time I also played around with generating new backgrounds for the harlots' bedrooms on Grok.

Currently, the harlot scenarios have a single background of a harlot's luxurious bedchamber. However, most of the harlots have more unusual rooms then that. As an experiment, I took the first couple of paragraphs describing the room from each scenario and plugged them into Grok. I got quite a few good background images from that, so I think I might try adding code to personalise the backgrounds for each harlot. I think this might enhance the scenarios more than if it's just the same bed image, and should also be very quick and easy to implement.

I've added a few pics to the post. See if you can guess which harlot's room they belong to.

While there is no end-of-month release today, keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks. After a stabilising release to straighten out the data initialisation, I'll probably make the next one include the new room backgrounds. If marwmellow has completed the current commission by then, there might also be a few pieces of H-scene art snuck in. ;)

Thanks for the support and interest.

Art Preview - Anna Boa

Continuing with the art previews, here is Anna Boa. I think I might have snuck her art out earlier, so I'll add a few behind-scenes comments.

Despite having her boobs covered up, I've had very little luck in getting a good animation of her from grok. Monster girls are still an issue for AI. It struggles to keep track of the tail and also gives it a snake head whenever I add "snake tail" to the prompt to try and indicate she's a lamia monster girl. This might be a trickier obstacle than good NSFW. I know grok can do NSFW. The company just needs to fire all the moral busybodies to prevent the stupid nanny-ish content moderation.

I've been brainstorming various ideas about the wrestling faction. They might have links to Koontz. There might be an underground fightclub where humans are drawn in by the sex, only to get drained to death by succubi. It's not the most ground-breaking of ideas, but the potential is there.

Anna Boa is a tricky fit. Despite having one of the nastier Horror Ends, it's more a "doesn't know own strength" problem than being actively malicious. Would she work alongside Koontz to crush people in the ring for a bloodthirsty audience? Maybe. Even my nicer daemons have shades-of-grey morality. She'd probably work best squashing a cocky side character that's not intended to be liked.

Maybe there's a story there...

Update 23rd Nov '25

This week was print book boot camp.

I was supposed to put out print versions back in 2022 after I re-published all my existing books under my own name. It didn't happen for one reason or another, and I didn't want the same thing happening again.

Formatting ebooks is fairly straightforward. Formatting print books is slightly more annoying as you have to worry about things like gutter margins, bleed and various other settings on MS Word barely anyone cares about.

Amazon does put out a free program (Kindle Creator) that theoretically is capable of handling all this, but it's kind of shit to work with. It will put the text in the right place, but you'll have very limited control over how some things appear with respect to font, table of contents, and other things. I got something out for A Succubus for Social Justice, but the little succubus silhouette illustrations I use to adorn the chapter headings in the Succubus Summoning series caused Kindle Creator to explode.

The thing is, the print books are expensive because they're print-on-demand. If people are going to spend $15-20 on a paperback, I want that paperback to look good. I want my little succubus silhouettes, titles to be in the Olde English font, new chapters to start on the right page, and for the table of contents to at least have some options for formatting.

That means junking Kindle Creator and doing it in MS Word. That is a little fiddly as you need to go in and play around with settings for paper size, margins, headers and footers, and swearing a lot when the known bug for switching section breaks from Odd Page to Next Page kicks in and you have to go back and redo them manually. Grr.

Thankfully, Amazon does have a nice previewer, so I was able to fiddle about with settings until everything fell within the correct dotted lines. And once I had that as a template, I was able to apply it to all of my existing book manuscripts.

The end result is I now have print-ready manuscripts for all my previous books and collections. Once new cover art comes in, I should be able to make paperback versions available for people who want them. Currently I have marwmellow working on a new succubus pic for A Succubus for Christmas and my brother trying to reconstitute the old Succubus Summoning covers from the old files.

My plan is to put the three of them out together as soon as the cover art is in - maybe in a month or so. After that I'll add a cover commission to the regular HoHH H-scene commissions and slowly update the rest of the A Succubus for collections throughout 2026.

This is also the last big chunk of work related to regular book writing. With the manuscripts all formatted for print, I'm now done with that side of things until the various new cover art comes in. This means I can finally get back to giving HoHH 100%, which is what I'll be doing next week.

Thanks for the support and patience.

Art Preview - Huntress Levka

Continuing the art previews, here is the imperious Huntress Levka with her hounds.

(Any similarities between the hounds and GW's Slaaneshi demons is purely... ahem... coincidental...)

I still need to work the huntresses into some short stories as the lore is great for them. I have tentative plans for Phil of Succubus Summoning falling into their clutches, but that requires me getting a working version of HoHH 1.0 out first.

One of Levka's hounds might also require a rename. Zhopa was intended to be a bit of a foreign language pun, but is a little cruder in that language (to the point of being off-putting) than I realised...

I hope you like marwmellow's art of her. Let me know what you think below.

Update 16th Nov '25

The book is out. Thanks to everyone that bought it and I hope you enjoyed it.

Unsurpisingly a fair bit of the week was taken up with promotion and similar things. That will extend into next week mainly for some maintenance things such as figuring out why I no longer have an author page on places like B & N and needing to merge my Smashwords and Draft2Digital accounts so all the books are under the same author page.

For House of Hellish Harlots I looked into adding animations. Results here were mixed.

Using Grok Imagine I was able to get a relatively nice animation of L'iaculatia spraying the viewer with silk, arachne-style. I thought that might be a nice animation to sneak into the game. I was hoping I could just switch the .jpg with the.mp4 on that particular passage, have it autoplay (mute for now), and it would be trivial.

Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple in the .html and CSS. After a bit of fiddling around I was able to make the switch from .jpg (picture) to .mp4 (animation) fairly seamless. It pretty much looks the same (as you can see above) apart from one really annoying difference...

It concerns the little background border to the picture. That was created by adding padding and making the background colour white with some transparency (same settings as the text box). I think it helps to make the art stand out from the background. You can't see it here, but if the screen is wider, the white background to the video expands to fill the space between it and the text box. This doesn't happen with the static art because the attributes (padding, border, background) are set in the <src> level for the .jpg, so the border stays nicely consistent no matter what the resolution of the screen is. Unfortunately, html doesn't allow me to set those attributes at the <src> level of <video>. I can set them for the <video> tag, but as it's the container, it will expand to fill the space, which then expands the background. I tried adding spacers to try and keep the container to the size of the video, but they're either ignored, or they squeeze the size of the video down.

Currently, I'm not sure how to fix this. I'm hoping one of you out there with more coding experience in html might have some helpful suggestions. For now I'm going to leave the code there to come back to, but leave it alone for now.

Animations are pretty much scope creep, so I don't want to go too deep into that unless it's relatively straightforward. AI tools such as Grok Imagine have opened up opportunities that were not there previously. Unfortunately, this is also reliant on Grok Imagine getting its fully NSFW "spicy" mode back. After a fairly wild first week, it seems like the creations were a little too "spicy" for the xAI people. Currently, Grok is nerfed fairly heavily and most attempts just end up in "Content Moderated". People are complaining and cancelling subscriptions over this, so I'm keeping one eye on it. If the chains are taken off again, I think having the ability to add animation to the H-scenes I'm having marwmellow draw for me would add a lot to the art version of HoHH.

And now back to regular writing. The latter half of the week was spent looking at formatting print books. Next week will be print book boot camp for me as I teach myself how to properly use the settings in MS Word to properly format the documents. I put it off after the last time I republished my ebooks, and it never got done. I don't want to repeat that mistake, so next week I'll do some research and hopefully end up with all the old manuscripts properly formatted so I can rerelease them as print books the moment the new cover art comes in.

Thanks for the interest and support.

"A Succubus for Social Justice" is out!

The new collection should now be live. Here are some links where you can find it.

Amazon (ebook and print)
Kobo
Barnes & Noble
Apple Books
Google Books
Smashwords

There is an issue with Smashwords at the moment. They were bought by Draft2Digital recently and I have accounts on both. For this book I had to go through D2D rather than upload to Smashwords directly, and it doesn't see the author accounts as the same. The book appears to be up ok, and it's still possible to find the older books by searching directly. I need to get in touch with D2D to properly merge the two accounts.

Also, if you're wondering why the covers are slightly different on some outlets - a strategic titles change was needed to cover up an exposed nipple. D2D wasn't happy with it. :D

There are 9 short stories plus the longer multi-part "A Succubus for Social Justice" story. I broke that into 4 "acts" so I can pretend the book has 13 "stories". Superstition, ah.

Here's the blurb:

Demonic Justice is like Cosmic Justice, just a little less... accurate.

Erotic Horror master M. E. Hydra returns with a seventh sizzling collection of short stories featuring sexy succubi and other monster girls.

“Outcall with a Succubus” sees an overworked politician receive a visit from an amorous guest. A man suffering from anxiety is prescribed an unusual vac-bed treatment in “Shiborito in the Bag”. A group of activists in “A Trial in Vennington” discover a succubus is not quite the instrument of feminist vengeance they hoped for. An arrogant mage in “Mage vs Succubus Slime” learns why it’s important to have a full party after he’s ensnared and drained of his levels by a special slime girl. And finally, “A Succubus for Social Justice” has a succubus used as a tool of assassination, until the wrong target is chosen...

Enjoy these and other dark tales of erotic evil. They’ll give you pleasures beyond your wildest dreams, and terrors beyond your darkest nightmares...

I hope you enjoy the book. Let me know your thoughts below (and especially if you run into any formatting or buying issues I might have missed).

This is going to be an odd one considering this is a supposedly a "short story collection", but please avoid posting spoilers. It's a bit more than a collection of "standalone" short stories...

Excerpt - Outcall with a Succubus

With the new collection A Succubus for Social Justice officially out tomorrow (it can be pre-ordered in ebook form here and the print version should also go live tomorrow) and me wanting to get an excerpt up from the last remaining story, I ran out of slots for the regular harlot spotlight. I should be back to normal next week.

This is from "Outcall with a Succubus", which is a direct sequel to the very first Nicole story, "Incall with a Succubus". In this, Nicole provides an outcall rather than incall service. There are also a lot of other shenanigans going on. The viewpoint protagonist isn't aware of them, but hopefully the reader will be able to figure out what's actually going on (you'll understand when you read the whole story). Once again, Nicole isn't being completely truthful...

"Do you have a spare room?" Nicole asked.

He took her to another room two doors down.

"It's in the middle of refurbishment," Newman said.

It would be more accurate to say it was at the beginning of refurbishment, and had been for some time. It was originally going to be a children's room, but then Geneviève had... died. Newman still didn't know what he wanted to do with it. The walls were half painted. There wasn't even a carpet on the floor.

"Maybe a bit too basic," Newman said. "Not very comfy."

"No, it's perfect," Nicole said.

She walked in and looked around.

"Hold on," Newman said. "I think I have an air mattress stored away somewhere. It'll be better than doing it on the floorboards."

"That won't be necessary," Nicole said. "I brought some kit with me."

She placed her chic black handbag on the floor and unzipped it. The first items she removed seemed commonplace enough. They looked like regular tealight candles. Nicole placed them around the empty spare room. What was less regular was how Nicole lit them. She didn't have any matches or anything like that. Instead, she just touched the wick with the tip of a long fingernail and it sparked into flame. One of the advantages of being a hell demon, Newman supposed.

The candles also weren't as regular as they initially appeared. After being lit, they produced copious amounts of scented pink smoke. The room started to fill up with a pink haze. The perfumed smoke also had an effect on Newman. His head started to feel comfortably warm and fuzzy. The fumes had a more dramatic effect... downstairs.

"You should take them off," Nicole said, glancing at the tented front of Newman's trousers. "Before they get uncomfortable."

Yes, that would be a good idea, Newman thought. His erection was feeling constricted. He started to take his clothes off.

He paused his undressing when he noticed Nicole take a strange item out of her handbag. It looked like a black egg made out of glossy black rubber. Nicole held it in her palm and positioned her hand between her legs.

She turned to Newman.

"You can watch if you like, but I should warn you. This might look a little strange."

Nicole had already removed her underwear. She squatted down and pushed the black egg up between the folds of her labia and into her vagina. Then she held her pose—as stiff as a statue.

A black rubbery bubble emerged from Nicole's vagina, and slowly expanded out between her legs. It looked like she was blowing up a piece of bubblegum, but with her sex rather than her mouth. She leaned back and extended her wings as the black something unfurled and rolled out across the floor. Until, with a soft sigh, Nicole pushed the last of it out. It lay on the floor, wet and glistening, a strange black cushion about seven or eight feet in diameter. It seemed to dry and settle until the shape became more distinct.

It looked like she'd given birth to a circular air mattress and Newman had to stifle a giggle at how absurd that sounded.

"I did warn you it would look unusual," Nicole said with a sheepish smile.

"I guess that's why I don't need to fetch the airbed," Newman said.

"It's a special air mattress," Nicole said, "impregnated with succubus magic. The process to inflate it is a little unusual."

"Definitely unusual," Newman said, "and a little kinky."

"Oh good," Nicole said. "I was hoping you'd use that word."

She stood up and a pulse of heat radiated from her body.

"I have a little confession to make."

She looked uncharacteristically embarrassed.

"It's difficult to explain as the terms are not exactly analogous, but I'm in the succubus version of in heat."

Read the rest in the full collection, out tomorrow!

Art Preview - Epicratea

Here is another art preview from the wrestling faction. Epicratea was originally in one of my short stories ("Oil Wrestling a Succubus"). Marwmellow gave her a fairly athletic physique. She definitely looks like she's comfortable wrestling men into submission!

With another of the wrestlers, Kiki Sumoppai being loaned out to the short stories, this might open up further links. Both have appeared in the service of my recurring mob boss, Koontz.

Maybe I might expand on this in future short stories and use that link to develop the lore of the faction further.

Chelida Gattagrandi, given her 'special' technique would make for a particularly terrifying assassin in a more horror-leaning story.

Excerpt - Mage vs Succubus Slime

A Succubus for Social Justice is out at the end of the week (and the ebook can be pre-ordered here). To build up the hype, here's an excerpt from another one of the new, collection-exclusive stories.

I was playing around with some litfic conventions with this one (where characters know they are in an RPG and are aware of the stats and game mechanics). I felt that would be a good excuse to depict the classic RPG succubus level drain (albeit from a slime girl with similar powers). However, it might not necessarily be as it appears...

"He's feisty," the pink slime girl said. "Let's get him up off his feet so he can't do anything."

She gathered up her amorphous body around him and lifted Mage up off the stone floor. Now he was totally fucked. His arms and legs kept thrashing ineffectually as he was tipped on his ass and suspended in the blob of pink jelly. He was stuck like an insect on a water droplet. The monster's digestive juices were already starting to work on his robes. The edges were fraying and holes were starting to appear.

Fuck. That was epic gear. It was going to cost a fortune to repair.

"Hmpth. All that undignified thrashing is rather unsightly," the succubus complained. "Volumphtia, drain his stamina."

"As you wish, Mistress," the pink slime girl said.

She turned back to Mage with a lascivious smile.

"Stamina Drain," she said, her plump lips bunching up in a suggestive pout.

The jelly moved around Mage's body. It pressed up close and rubbed against his flesh. It felt like a massage, and not one of those clean sports massages either. A green glow formed around Mage's body and then flowed up into the slime girl's torso. Her substantial bust swelled as if she was taking a deep breath, but it was that strange green energy she inhaled into herself.

Mage's green stamina gauge dwindled away to nothing, and—unlike what should happen—stopped replenishing altogether. It had a more tangible effect on Mage. Without stamina, he lost the ability to struggle or even move at all. All he could do was lie limply within the pink jelly.

"Ah, that's better," the slime girl said. "Now you just lie back and I'll make you comfortable."

She reached over to fluff up a jelly pillow for Mage's head.

This was all... weird, Mage thought. It did feel surprisingly comfortable, as if he was lying in a warm bath rather than a giant slime monster.

"Let's dissolve away all those annoying clothes so you can be naked like me," the slime girl said.

A giant slime monster filled with acid, Mage thought with discomfort. The durability on his very expensive epic robes went to zero as they frayed away to nothingness. His flesh would be next...

The slime girl must have read his mind.

"What, you think I'm going to dissolve you as well," she said. She looked mortified. "That would be horrible. No, my acids only work on dead or inorganic matter like robes and armor."

A slime that only dissolved clothes to make people naked? What perv had designed this place?

Whatever she'd done with her Stamina Drain, it must have also debuffed his max stamina down to zero, or close to zero, as well. It was replenishing, but only a little sliver at the bottom of the bar. Not enough to allow Mage any useful physical actions.

All he had left was his items. The slime absorbed any magic he tried to cast, but what about magic items. He had a teleportation stone, but it was just the basic version. Using it required sacrificing all his unspent experience, and Mage was so close to level 113. Mage didn't really want to use it unless it was a last resort.

There had to be something he could do. Come on, think. Mages could do everything, that was why they were the best class.

The slime girl glanced over to the succubus on the throne. "Magic drain?" she asked.

"Yes, you can drain his magic," the succubus said.

"Oh yummy," the slime girl said.

She turned back and leaned over Mage. She stuck her hands into the mass of pink jelly. Her face twisted in concentration. "Magic Drain."

The warm jelly was in motion around Mage's body again—caressing, rubbing. This time a blue glow seeped from Mage's body into the surrounding pink jelly.

His blue magic bar started to decrease at an alarming rate.

Shit. He needed some MP to activate the teleportation stone. His last resort was quickly becoming no resort.

He activated his Stone of Teleportation: Basic and said "Home."

Nothing happened.

The slime girl lifted a hand out of the mass and wagged a finger at Mage.

"Ah ah. No magic allowed while you're inside me," she said.

She sank her hand back into the blob. More blue energy poured out of Mage's body and seeped into the surrounding pink slime. The slime girl's big boobs swelled and ebbed as if she was taking deep breaths. The blue light swirled within the main blob before flowing up into the slime girl's torso.

"Ah, so much."

She accepted it with sighs that sounded suspiciously like orgasmic moans.

The draining process also felt suspiciously pleasurable. Within the blob, Mage felt he was getting an all-over massage. One of the naughty ones. Even the more intimate parts of his body weren't spared. That, the slime girl's erotic sighs, and the sight of her big naked boobs bouncing right above him triggered a predictable response from his body. His penis started to lengthen and swell up in erection.

The slime girl noticed and paused her drain.

"I can suck it from there if you want. It will feel really nice."

Update 9th Nov '25

In the midst of various book promotion posts and regular HoHH art previews, I thought I'd use the sunday slot to drop a proper update post, so people know what I'm up to.

This week was more of maintenance week. I finally got over my dislike of Kindle Create to put a print manuscript together, submitted it, and even ordered a proof copy to check it came out okay. (Which turned up really quickly - fair play to Amazon, they're very good at that side of things). This means A Succubus for Social Justice will have a simultaneous ebook and print book release on Nov 14th. I'm pleased about this, as putting print books out, even though they're pricy, fell on the wayside somewhat after I re-released all my other books after eXcessica closed down.

I will be looking to give those older books print versions. Currently I'm planning to commission new covers, and when they come in, put out a new print version of each book until I've caught up.

The Succubus Summoning books are in a weird state. I'm fine with the covers as they are, so in theory a print version of them should be made available ASAP. Unfortunately, there are some problems. I can't find the original files the covers were made from. I have the completed art, but I need the original layers so I can remove the old publisher logo and redo the blurb text on the back. I don't think I have this, so I might need to get those redone (although probably in a very similar style).

The other issue is with the internal content. For the original version of the SS101 books, I tried to 'pretty' up the insides by adding little succubus silhouettes to indicate chapter headings and ends. Kindle Create does not like those images and Amazon rejected the manuscript when I tried to preview it. I still want the print book to have them, but I'll need to do more experimentation to figure out how to make that work. Kindle Create is a fairly hostile program to use if you want to deviate from the basic templates.

I am hoping to get both of these problems solved soon, as I'd like to make everything have print versions again.

As for other work, I had to spend a day or so getting the details and references together for the next art commission to marwmellow. This is primarily for the new cover for A Succubus for Christmas. It also includes a few more H-scenes for HoHH harlots.

Basically, I've been so slow writing the HoHH elite harlots, pretty much all the pinups are done now. While it's stretching my art budget a little, I'm going to start sneaking in a few H-scenes. Maybe the project will start to end up closer to original Monmusu Quest after all (which had a battle sprite for each monster girl + 1 or more H-scenes for her Bad End).

In this case, it doesn't feel like feature creep aside from stretching my art budget a little (which I think I can handle thanks to those of you subscribing at the $5 and higher tiers). Marwmellow has pretty much caught up on the regular harlot pinups, so I need to write faster! :D

The other maintenance task I busied myself with is the notebook section for HoHH. I'm a little worried this might have been an extra feature too far. Currently I'm writing all the notebook sections for the low-tier harlots. Doing them one-by-one wasn't going anywhere, so I think I need to devote a couple of weeks to it and get all of the low-tier harlots done. That should, hopefully, template the process enough so I can carry on with the higher tier harlots without having to focus on it fully. This will be my main task for next week.

Thanks for the support and interest!

"A Succubus for Social Justice" - In Paperback as well (hopefully)

Fighting with Amazon's very annoying Kindle Create program appears to have paid off. I received the proof copy of the paperback version today and it looks fine.

The only thing that caught me off guard was Amazon's default 9 x 6 format is quite large for a paperback (at least in the UK).

I've flicked through it and it looks to have come out fine, so I've just submitted it on Amazon. If everything goes to plan, the print version should be up for pre-order as soon as it's approved, and the book will go live on the 14th Nov alongside the ebook version.

Now the bad news.

Mass market paperbacks rely on big batch production to keep the costs low. For smaller, self-published authors like me, we have to use Amazon's Print-on-demand service. This does seem cheaper than I remember, but does bump the costs up. When I was with eXcessica, I think the price of the print version was around $20. I think that's a little high, so I've set it at $15.99. This is still high for a paperback, but any lower and I'm pretty much getting nothing. (With this I get about a third, which is enough that I don't feel like I'm working for Amazon for free.)

So, yep, the print versions are still a little pricy, but the option is there for people that want it.

(Hopefully, I'm still waiting for final approval, but as the ebook is already up for pre-order, it should in theory be okay.)

Excerpt - "A Succubus for Social Justice, Part 7"

With the new ebook out in a week and a half (you can pre-order it here), I think it's time to build some hype with various little excerpts.

The nameless succubus from the succubus tablet is very active in this collection. One thing I knew I had to do was bring in a greater variety to her 'kills' than the usual 'get on top and ride man until drained to beef jerky'. She's a little Freddy Krueger-esque in her stories for this one (but with deadly sex rather than gore).

This seems fairly fitting. A while back I speculated that one of the reasons we don't get good succubus horror movies is that
The Nightmare on Elm Street series established Freddy Krueger as the Ur-Dream Demon. Between his power set and sexy vamps, succubi pretty much got squeezed out of horror movies. (It also doesn't help that sex is much more of a cultural no-no in American movies than gore.)

Here is the nameless succubus being a little more creative than normal.

Then he was falling...

He landed on a billowing sheet of glossy black latex. It took him a few moments to catch up with what had happened. Gravity had reversed. What had looked like a strange rubber canopy affixed to the ceiling was now a billowing rubber floor filled with air, or maybe even water. Quentin slid down to a depression in the middle of the pit.

How the fuck was this even possible?

Looking up, he could see the rest of his bedroom hanging from the ceiling as if glued in place.

There was motion opposite Quentin. A face pushed up against the rubber. It kept pushing and the rubber stretched as first a head and then a naked female torso emerged from the rubber floor. It was the succubus, in her true form. She had devil horns sticking up at her temples. She slowly rose up out of the floor. At first the rubber seemed to stretch as she pushed up against it, then it seemed to merge with and become her skin, as if the whole rubber floor was part of her body. She looked completely naked, with her body covered in a layer of black latex paint. Quentin could see her nipples—perky, erect, and pointed. He might have appreciated them more if he wasn't currently freaking out.

"Ahhhh." The latex covering her lower jaw parted as she opened her mouth and let out a long erotic sigh. The rubber covered her like a second skin, right down to her teeth.

She glanced sultrily at Quentin. Her lips bunched up in a disappointed pout.

"You left so soon," she said. "Before we had a chance to get to know each other more... intimately."

"What do you want?" Quentin asked.

"Why you, my scrumptious," the succubus answered. "I want you inside me."

She tipped her head back and let out an indecent moan.

The latex sheet Quentin was lying on seemed to soften, especially at his feet in the bottom of the depression. The rubber there changed to the constituency of soft mud and Quentin's feet sank into it.

What the?

Quentin tried to pull them out. It felt like he'd stepped into thick cloying mud. It was difficult as there was virtually nothing to give him any purchase. There was just the rubber sheet and that seemed to be inflated up off the floor like an airbed. Quentin leant back and lifted his knees. He kept pulling and felt something give.

His trainers. His feet were sliding out. Quentin was fine with that. She could keep them.

Yes, he could feel his feet coming free.

The succubus let out another lewd sigh.

The rubber floor swelled up around him. Quentin's trainers and socks were sucked down into the black morass. Unfortunately, the billowing rubber rolled up around his naked feet and gripped his ankles. As the succubus finished letting out her sigh, the floor subsided and Quentin's feet were tugged down with it. It felt like they'd been tightly shrink-wrapped in warm pliable rubber.

Fuck. He was going to be sucked down like it was quicksand if this kept up.

The full story can be found in "A Succubus for Social Justice and other tales of Erotic Evil. Available on Amazon to pre-order here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FYNHHW32

Thinking back to the Freddy Krueger analogy. That has been dormant of late, which maybe creates an opening for a new dream demon to haunt horror. The other thing missing from movies over the past couple of decades is the T 'n' A that used to be fairly ubiquitous in films back in the 90s and earlier (maybe a little too unnecessarily gratuitous in some cases, but at least it wasn't boring).

Maybe the time is right for a good succubus horror movie that isn't afraid to show a little nudity...

Art Preview - Atómica

Even though I'm mostly busy with the release stuff for new collection (print book formatting - blegh!), I want to keep the art previews flowing to show I haven't forgotten about HoHH.

This one is a couple of hours later than normal (because of print book formatting - blegh!).

This is the lovely Atómica. She adores using her "love-bomb" finishing move on men. The resulting ejaculations are... intense.

Art is by Marwmellow.

The one mistake I made was not specifying her wings. Maybe I'll get those added to the original if I can find funds to give her proper H-scene art.

I thought a luchador-type femdom wrestler would be a fun addition to the House.

Let me know what you think of the art down below.
