#SexDungeon23: Room 061-063

ROOM 063 – WHARF (SHOPS)

The wharf is long and slightly sinister at night.  Buildings loom to the right.  You can see a narrow alley and canal leading off into a dark interior.  Out on the wharf itself a couple of hardy vendors have set up stands illuminated by dim lanterns.

There will be one or two shops here selling whatever items are useful for the game.  The shopkeeper NPC(s) will also have a few hints and tips about the area, especially about the WATER WITCH curse the player was hit with.  This might also be a good spot for another hint NPC and maybe a sighting for one of the recurring NPCs that travel around the different areas.

From here you can continue down the wharf or explore the narrow passage heading into darkness.

For now we're going to continue down the wharf.  The back streets will be covered later.


ROOM 062: WATER WITCH CURSE

Less a room than an event.

As you walk out onto the wharf a strange event happens.  Unseen hands unhook and pull down your pants.  Water droplets form out of the air and coalesce into a large spherical bubble centred on your crotch.  The warm water churns in motion, forming an internal whirlpool that sucks on your cock.  It feels surprisingly pleasant, as if there is a mouth sucking on you.  You're unable to stop it.  Your hand passes right through the sphere of water and any you displace quickly flows back to the main bubble.

Looking around you see a pale-skinned mermaid watching you intently.  She has a hand held out and droplets of water float around her finger.  She gives her hand a clench and a bubbling squeeze strokes up your cock, almost doubling you over.  You go to her, but long before you reach her, she turns and dives into the dark water.  This does not break her spell.  The ball of water continues to churn around your now erect cock.

This is the WATER WITCH's curse and one of the mechanics of the area.  Talking to NPCs, who are unbothered by the player walking around with a big bubble of floating water stroking his cock, will reveal the player has been singled out and targeted by one of the region's water witches.  They place a special curse on a man that will slowly wank him to orgasm.  If the man succumbs, the curse will also drain his energy with the ejaculation and leave him helpless.  The WATER WITCH will claim him and take him off to slowly drain him completely with her water magic.

How this works is that the player will be stuck with a special status ailment they can't remove that will gradually increase their arousal.  If the arousal maxes out, the player will get a special Bad End as the WATER WITCH comes to claim him.

However, there are certain rules.  Unlike my usual succubus rules, the player won't count as claimed.  If he gets involved with another monster girl, the WATER WITCH will temporarily dispel the curse for the duration of the fight or event.  That only extends to other monster girls.  If masturbation ends up being a mechanic in the game to reduce arousal, they will not be able to use it while the curse is on them.

Not entirely sure about the mechanic.  It's more from the idea of a sexy mermaid witch using magic to slowly wear the player down from afar.  If it turns out this area already has too many other things going on, it might be moved somewhere else.  It seems like a nice gimmick to have, especially as the first third to a half of the waterfront will be centred around talking to NPCs for clues and information.


ROOM 061 - ENTERING THE WATERFRONT

As with The Warrens, the SUCCUBUS COMPANION or an NPC will give a brief history of the area.

The city that became Ur-Carnosa was once a thriving city-port.  As it slowly descended into vice and criminality, various gangs and guilds fought for control of the lucrative waterfront district.  This ended when the lust daemons took over the city.  A powerful KRAKEN SCYLLA claimed it and the district is home to MERMAIDs and other monster girls of the sea.  The interior warehouses sank into the sea and the partially submerged area was converted to a temple to the ruling KRAKEN SCYLLA.

The outer wharfs and docks still exists.  Trade is infrequent, but highly lucrative for captains willing to take the risks.  A night on the waterfront with its bars and bordellos is also good for improving the morale of a rowdy crew.  Ships still come, but only those of pirates, smugglers and other ne'er-do-wells.  There are benefits to putting in to Ur-Carnosa, providing a captain doesn't mind the loss of a crewman or three...

Still only have rough ideas for this region.  The boss will likely be a scylla.  The player's goal will be to get to her.  She's big and powerful, so the player might have to find a powerful weapon or magic to defeat her.

The waterfront will likely be divided into sub-regions.  There's the front streets, which will mostly be bars, traders, and of course rooms for ladies of the night (who will be very fishy… literally).  And then the more dangerous back streets where the MERMAIDs won't hesitate to prey on the drunken and lost.  Exploring the back streets might open up a secret way into the temple, although that's where tentacle traps and horny ANEMONE GIRLS make an appearance.

There might also be another route found by questioning the various NPCs in the front streets.  That should give a player an option of talking to NPCs and solving a puzzle to gain access.  Or just fighting their way in from a back route (dodging a lot of traps on the way).

Also, from now on I'll be cutting down the #SexDungeon23 spam by grouping the rooms together.  I'll update this post with a new "room" each night, and start a new post after each weekly update.

There will be factors to mitigate it. The build-up of arousal is fairly small. In itself, it won't be too dangerous unless the player gets really lost in the backstreets. What they'll need to be careful of is other things that raise their arousal. That will also work in their favour. The curse temporarily goes away while the player is interacting with other sex daemons, so the player can use them to safely 'relieve' himself and reset arousal. I think it should be okay, but it might be a mechanic that gets moved to a later area if I feel I already have plenty of other stuff going on in the region.

I like the constant damage mechanic, but it may be overly punishing for first time players. With knowledge of upcoming areas, players should use their Surplus of coins earned at the casino, and buy as many healing items/effects as they can manage to stave off the constant damage. (and if there isn't a chance to buy, the coins kinda feel useless)
