New Afterwords for Ebook Collections

No "House of Hellish Harlots" release this month.  As I said at the start, I needed to focus on getting the old ebook collections back up on Amazon (and others).  That turned out to be a little more time-consuming than I originally thought.  I didn't have the manuscripts for the older collections and have had to reassemble them from the old stories.  I also gave them a thorough editing pass.  I wasn't sure on this, as it was time-consuming, but it did uncover a lot of errors I missed the first time around, so was probably worth it.  It turns out my hyphen usage was also a little erratic.  While those are the sort of things that don't detract too much unless the reader is really picky, I always want my manuscripts to look as professional as possible.

This makes deliverables for the month a little tricky.  At the start of the month I did raise the possibility of it maybe being a short story.  In the end I focused that time on writing new harlots for HoHH, and that got pushed aside later in the month once I realised how much time thoroughly editing six 80K manuscripts would take.

What I do have is the new afterwords that will be in the back of the new versions of the collections.  These cover where the inspiration for each story came from as well as some other interesting details.  They're probably of niche interest, but maybe some of you will like the behind-scenes look.

Overall it's been a strange month.  We did get some nice artwork of Queen Colubridis.  I've also put in and paid for a commission for Sorpresa Ombra (as well as additional surprise).

I think the month has roughly done the job.  I'm pretty much on final checks for the manuscripts to standardise some spellings/punctuation.  I'm eyeing up Jul 15th as the release date for "A Succubus for Christmas" and will then release the rest in two-week intervals after that.  I'll do more promotion as soon as the manuscript is uploaded and the date locked in.

As for next month, that should be back to normal.  Now I think I've broken the back of the collection work, I'll probably spend the rest of the week finishing off the two harlot scenarios I have in progress.  Early next week I'll put a poll up to determine which will be typed up and implemented for July's release.  I have 5 available at the moment and I'm hoping to add the two I have in progress.
