Update 4th Jul '04
Added 2021-07-04 22:50:53 +0000 UTCA quickish update.
Last week I put version 0.021 of "House of Hellish Harlots" out. That had 2 new harlots.
The second half of the week was the usual combo of breather after getting a release out mixed with planning out what the next month should be. I was hoping to get the glass mannequin finished, but sensed I was stalling a bit on one of her scenes, so switched to writing a couple of new harlot ideas just to keep things moving.
At this point I need to speed up the harlot scenarios and start to organise them into factions. With the public demo, I have the base. Now it's time to work upwards towards a final round encounter. So, I've been looking at three of the groupings and thinking about background lore and full harlot rosters. Before, I was just writing the harlots as the ideas came to me. I'll be continuing to do that to some extent, but starting to have one eye on which group to put the harlot in and whereabouts on the difficulty curve they should be, and also filling any gaps in the difficulty curves.
I also figured out a nice way to use some of the harlots that don't fit with any recognised faction.
I'll see if I can get a condensed version of the roadmap post out next week.
Overall, June was a month where I wanted to focus on harlots, but ended up devoting a fair bit of time on getting a website version of HoHH up. For July, I want to put the focus back on harlot scenarios again.
There is one slight exception. Constantly having the Barman introduce all the NPCs at the beginning of each playthrough is Very annoying. I should have put a skip override in there as I did with the other introductory sections. I'll be looking at correcting that next week.
