Profile Update, Achievements, & Dark Maiden Content [New Game Required]

This update introduces a big profile overhaul. You can now keep track of your stats and your relationship dynamic in the profile screen. No more guessing. Additionally, we now have an achievements/milestones system. Due to the implementation of milestones and how stats are tracked, you will have to start a new game the next time you play. I apologize for the trouble and I will try to avoid doing that again.

New Profile

The profile setup may seem simple on the surface but it's the culmination of weeks of coding. First off is a system for tracking your physical traits. I have omitted nipple color and pubic hair (you may see the latter featured in tonight's content drop) as it just feels off to see those every time you open the screen. Those variables are neatly tucked away to be featured in NSFW scenes.

Your name will not necessarily update until after your MC chooses her final name toward the end of the Prelude. It's there that you can choose to keep the name from your first life or take on a new name. In certain routes, a name might be suggested for you by one or both of the love interests. There will also be a nickname system coming soon, both for your MC and the guys.

You'll now have dynamic descriptions of your traits, reflecting how your personality is changing night by night. Each axis has 4 descriptions and the ones I'll primarily be coding around. For example: High Daring, Moderate Daring, Moderate Measured, and High Measured. The descriptions are provisional. My creativity well was running dry when I wrote them. I'll likely tweak them before the end of the prelude, but not in a manner than will necessitate a new game.

You can also access your dynamics with similar descriptors.

Milestones System

The prelude and each act will have a variety of milestones. Most of the ones you'll encounter in the prelude are shared across all routes, though you will find a few unique ones depending on how you play.

Accessible via the bottom of the profile interface, this new system will also notify you when your intimacy leads to conception.

We'll likely be doing a separate menu option once your MC is pregnant where you'll be able to keep track of your pregnancy, transitioning into a child profile in Act III. The pregnancy happens fairly quickly in the rework, so if you have thoughts on what you'd like that profile to contain let me know and I'll make a note of it.

Dark Maiden Content Drop

There is new Dark Maiden content and a motherlode of Wyransith to attempt to decipher. This is definitely not all of Night III, there will be another even more sizeable chunk on the way, but between the profile overhaul, the abundance of Wyransith, and the spicy content it was all I had time for. I'm going to be moving on to work on Classic Mode tomorrow morning, then Fated Mates, then coming back to do more Dark Maiden this weekend.

This update is when your DM dynamic with Valdricht will really begin to swing and you'll start to see how differently he behaves toward your MC. Explore both options for a taste of what each dynamic will bring. Neither will lock you in yet, however you can get your dynamic high on both ends of the spectrum. Serax's dynamic shifts will be in the second half of the night. By Night IV, your dynamics will largely be in place.

I think the new dynamic descriptors in the profiles will also give players a great idea of where they want the needle to fall. You don't have to be 100%. I'm writing for both ends of the extremes, and also players who prefer a more balanced dynamic where their MC can swing either way depending on her mood.

Remember, you must start a new game or your profile will not work.
