small pixel art project update

another rather small project update unfortunately this week peeps, captaingerbear is still working on the editor for fenris high and i'm not sure when it'll be done, but this project is close to getting a demo, so at least there's that to look forward. As for my work, i'm almost done with the manticore, couldn't finish its stinger attack because my drawing arm started to hurt , but i'll probably complete the rest of the anims by next time i work on this guy

i'm satisfied with the claw attack animation as it's decently weighty and natural looking , wich was quite a challenge. it's kind of hard to make a non-existing animal you don't have references for to move in a credible way. It's not something i'd call realistic but i think it came out ok i think.

i also completed a transition for the manticore stinger attack, where the creature shows its sadistic toothy grin

and of course i also had to make the idle that comes after the transition

and here's the unfinished stinger attack animation. I might spice the final version up a little bit more, it might be a bit too simple. Maybe multiple stabs ?
